Rumour was that a Mentor could drop his/her disciple but that a disciple could not drop his/her Mentor.
Yesterday I was dropped by a new disciple (2 days old) who I had spent some time with. 
I was given a blue box like the one used when you fail an auction.
My questions are:
What are the new rules?
Can a disciple always dump a Mentor or is it only for a brief period?
Any info would be useful :wise:

I belive it’s 3 days that they have to drop a mentor. It’s always been like that as far as I know.

A disciple who has reached a certain skill level (have to check again which level it is) is not able to drop his or her mentor. Has the disciple not reached this skill level then he is able to drop his or her mentor at any given time be it 3 days after being added by a mentor or 50 days.
I have not heard of people being able to drop mentors after 3 or 4 days regardless of what skills they have…
Have met several new arrivals who have simply spent a week on and off running around, then find their mentor is trash but can’t get rid of them
It may have changed, though I have not heard of any announcements if that is so.
My society mate took a disciple in 5.7 or 6, cant remember which, who then stopped playing immediately.
3 months later this person comes back and kicks his mentor much to everbodys surprise.
So I would say snowflake is correct here.
