hun if we had those answers we would all be uber players making lots of ped. But ill say what i can. almost everything you do her relates to skill. as it improves other things improve . hence get better.
have had about 12 or 14 globals and one huge ass hof lol thats all i have had in the year i have been playing. and i would still say that im am just now moving out of the noob phase of my game
i had also been wondering this so Hof’s are just based on luck or randomness?
i seen some guy get like 3 in a row. it was crazy.
Getting hofs has alot to do with beeing at the right place on the right time, so a bit of luck can do miracles.
I think loots are pretty independant of your skills, meaning the amount of loot won’t grow as your skills rise, but by getting higher skills the cost/kill will go down, so you’ll get a better return.
And when you see people gettin multiple globals in short time is usually those who hunt really big stuff like Atrox Dominants and higher or Araneatroxes. It still doesnt mean they profit like maniacs since cost and average loot on those mobs tend to be really bad

Think about it like this.. If it costs 15ped to kill a single Aurli(I’m not sure of the exact number… but it’s something like that) and you get 3 no loots in a row, that’s 45ped that the 4th one has to make up for not including the 4th kill itself. So a global of 52ped won’t even cover the cost of those 4 Aurli. Alot of the people getting tons of globals on big mobs are probably only breaking even or even losing. 
Same with crafting HoF’s, it’s costing people craploads of ped per crafting attempt so Chanel getting HoF after HoF on Fedora’s or Coats or people who HoF on Abrer’s like crazy aren’t always profiting.
When it comes to HoF’s on non-uber mobs, or uber hofs, then ya as Einstein said.. it’s about being in the right place at the right time – and hunting your ass off so you have more chances of hitting that right time.

Thats because the tt of the item is so high that it automatically hofs, cost per craft is like 40-50peds per click or more depending on how you got the resources

i’ve had 5 globals.. no HOF :laugh:
Well I’ve only been playing since early December, but I’ve had some luck with hunting…6 Team Globals, 1 Global alone, and 3 Team Hofs. I’ve also had 2 mining globals.
I’m still a nOOb and then some compared to a lot of people. I have found that when I hunt in a team, the loots are better over all. I tend to break even at least when hunting in team…but then again, the next day we go out to team hunt again and lose it all.
It’s all, like they said, being in the right place, right time…Just like everything else in the game, we all have our own theorys on it, only the coders who wrote the program that sets up the loots have any idea how it happens, and then it’s probably random (to a point) so they might not even know.
Just keep at it. You’ll get one or maybe even a couple eventually.
I’ve been playing for a year, and I’m starting to get noticeably better loots (or so it seems). I usually get a decent sized loot (20-30 PEDs) each time I log on for some skilling. This might be a coincidence over the last few days, though. I’m just hoping it’s a trend.
uhhhmm..then i really must be lucky..started playing end decenber ..2 big hofs..
1 of 2380 and 1 teamhof of 1689(2 people)
about 7-8 hofs over 500..coiuple 300-400
and i global about..well..nearly on a daily basis
but..i play like all day..meaning..12-14 hours
almost profit every hunt..when im axeskilling..on bigger mobs..trox for instance i loose my balls

yea you seem to be very lucky indeed, but if you play 12-14 hours a day i hope you desered them
as for me.. a litle bit more then a year playing now and i got about 20 hofs/globals. half of them the latest two mounths.
yup dinivan..im very lucky..afterth eteamhof last week..i got erveral globals..one global had shadow in it..sold for 3500..then the day after that another hof of 690..peds only..then yesterday after 2 globals a 490 atroxguardianhof with 2 jaguarharnesses and amp 105 and gun in it..i wonder when it stops.

It stops pretty fast,only a small % keep on profiting. I have never hit the “big one” but I do good profit on my smaller hofs and globals and they have been coming for 16months straight,a few months inactivity also though
I mostly profit without globals also but I blame skills and luck for that

depositing = greater chance of globaling/hoffing.
I’m sure you will all argue against that but from my own experience its 100% true.
I am curious about anyone’s else experience with this. I’m wondering if its coincidence or there is some underlying pattern…
I spend more time pure skilling then anything right now cause I’m newb. But I have noticed I will be in an area working on a particular mob group for hours and will generally make a little less then break even most of the time. No problem, I know I’m paying to play. I was thinking, that if I sayed in an area long enough and something was going to happen then I’d have a good chance of it. But to no avail.
I have noticed on several occasions, that people will come into the area and get a global or hof within the hour of arriving, usually its like ten minutes after arriving. Usually to add insult to injury, its usually the mob right next to me…
I myself had my hof on a day when I was working an area for a long time, got bored and moved to another area, 5 mins later, I got the HOF.
So, I am thinking of selecting several areas and mobs to skill on, then maybe move every hour to see what happens.
What do you folkd think? Valid observation or BS coincidence?

personally speaking I think you are right. I only hunt in 3-4 different places and I can generally tell when something is coming - either I see a difference in the amount of mobs around or the loot is generally higher than usual.
All my globals/hofs have come after moving to a different area.
And yesterday for example I decided to go on an all dayer and went from corinth all the way south east over the blue bit to the outpost then SE to Orthos. I killed atrox, longu, sabas, necs, combibos, snables, walking trees, armax, drones, molisks etc etc. I used 45k ammo had to repair twice and didn’t even get a global, my total loot was approx 250 peds.

walking trees? are you talking about the dildo with legs? i think they are called iturmatrox or something… the first time me and my gf saw one of those, we ran it into turrets, and it ended up leaning against the outpost. i knew i should have grabbed that screenshot of us posing with it… dang it.
i cant wait to be able to kill those… the one i saw was a guardian, did 60 damage thru rascal.
