Fishing Bug - Stuck in Casting animation

Every so often when fishing, I’ll get stuck in the casting animation.

No way to escape the animation or equip a new tool. I have to relog every time it happens.

It seems completely random as to when it happens, can’t figure it out.

happened to me within the first fishing session - game breaker.

needs to have high prio on this fix.

Hasn’t happened to me yet , because RT did not get the fishing update , as listed in the fishing update notes , and not a single mention as to why and when.

Happened to me like 4 times since i posted this.

Seems to happen more often if I tab out or press next video on second screen

You can fish on RT just cant get the bps… so silly they forgot

The fishing system is super rigid atm, the fact we cannot move while fishing (within reason), like when we interact with auctioneer, or storage, or any terminal, a certain range we can still move until we “out of focus”. Why must it be so rigid for fishing?

Also would love to take my boat out and fish (with normal rods, outside deep sea) why limit such an activity for one function when it should be possible to implement it for all rods?

I’d love if they made boats into an “object”. Since you have to spawn it in a water source and it’s in sea there isn’t much reason to make it an object we can pass through, that way we could literally walk anywhere on our ship, fish from the roof if we wanted to, much more fun with FREEDOM imo.

And yes, this has happened to me multiple times, super annoying.

Reason is, other rods are tools, deep sea rod is mounted tool. its a system issue.

(only mounted tools can be used on vehicles)
(mounted tools cannot be equipped normally)
(these are system level issues, not an easy fix without changing the core server which they won’t do lightly)

I think I was turning with the mouse by accident while casting - and that was different from all the normal times.
I thought about the significance of a 30s video of being frozen… but I guess it wouldn’t work either (or would it be in the cache somewhere muhahahaa?)

Yep happening more and more frequently for me now too. have to relog like every 30 mins
