Yes, I cancled a date to keep playing this. Although, he thinks I just didn’t feel all that well, because of “Female Problems”. (Oh, the few good things about being a female, you have to love them.)
Either way, I just started playing the other day and let me tell you, I think I learned the hard way about playing a femme avatar and not hiding the fact that I actually was a femme in real life. Sure. The prices are lower for our armor or whatever and thats all cool, but damn, the things a femme is asked to do to get a mentor once they find out your a real living breathing girl.
Yeah. Not fun. Not that I don’t go on my messanger and go on cam with my friends, but to learn a game, I am not going to flash my boobs to some little pervert, who made himself a femme avatar just to look at his own ass while running. I don’t need a mentor THAT bad. Sorry not my bag of chips.
Seriously. I’m a femme gamer. I am trying to play this game so that I can master it and beat your little butt in PVP. I am not a whore. I didn’t come on here to pick up men. I came for the same reason all the men did. To play.
Please guys, don’t make the game suck for us girls, don’t try and make us pay you to be our mentor, don’t try to get us to show you our boobs on web cam for a little help that the game hooks you up for doing. (Yeah. I read the book.)
If a femme is here playing, she is here to play, because she likes RPG’s. Help us out will you. Don’t bust our balls and give us a hard time.
So far, I’ve only met two men who haved helped me out in this game: DARTSMAN (Who rocks like no other and who made me want to come back after the first night, because he is mad cool and soooooo helpful.) and DEBASER (Who made the game a million times easier to figure out, made me laugh all the way from Fort Agnus to Atlas Haven and all the way back up to Billy’s, not to mention, hooked me up with some nice clothes, so I wouldn’t look like a pumpkin.)
Agreed. Once I grew out of that orange mass I experienced that most people around here are kinda mature…
Though from time to time still some keep bugging me now and then… :rolleyes:

I think one reason why girls in PE might be treated bad is because we had and have so many fakes. We still have atleast two “fake girls” right here on the boards. But then again we have a few highly respected gamer girls here also, like Miss Skam to name one. Anyhow, welcome to PE, and try to ignore the jerks.

I do think he’s in a minority of ppl like that tho - I had that kind of reaction from many of the guys when playing a different online game (and when I went in irc especially), but in this game, I’ve found people to be a lot more grown up.
I haven’t hidden the fact that I’m female and yet I’ve been free of requests for webcam, bra size, nude photos, “a/s/l? cyb0r?” that I by now thought was the par for justabout anything online :laugh:
Ignore the jerk, you’ll find almost everybody else is helpful, without expecting something back. Love the comment about the guy having a female avvie so he can look at his backside tho :laugh:

Indeed. I dont think ive played a online game with so many females taking part in over 7 years of online gaming. Its good to see tbh, and gives PE that edge over many other games with a diverse community.

Incidentally I still can’t see why people make such a big deal about advertising their gender in a computer game just cause they “believe” they are in the minority. The voice that cries “I am” is asking to be discriminated against. :rolleyes:

I have a girl avatar, but I’m a boy in real life, but does that make me a fake? I’m not trying to make people think otherwise. Just look under my name to the left. Ingame gender and reallife gender. There is a lot of people who has an avatar with the oposite sex, but they are really nice persons. Fake people must be all the people out there who’s trying to give another impression of who they are, and who’s not treating fellow gamers good :wise:
So in my oppinion it really doesn’t mean anything of witch gender you are ingame, just be a good person

Besides this welcome to PE and as others have stated there are plenty of us male players who are not total Wan$%£s and will treat women with the respect they deserve.

Gads, unfortunely it is. The most horrible looking dance MA could possibly come up with. :rolleyes: Yes, I’ve had one or two noobs do that to me too (f ingame and irl here). I just walk away and ignore them. Doesn’t happen enough to me to get under my skin. I’m also one of the, seeminly many, who haven’t really encountered much discrimination b/c of my gender, and I’m in a society with only 2 other irl females.
I am male and have been playing MMORPG’s since EQ came out. I have met a few Females from the games. At least they said they were (LOL). I do know a few were because I met their husbands in the game too. It’s Great to see more of you ladies playing, some of us older geeks had almost given up hope.
Besides, you should have seen me dancing in my chair the first time I heard “Gamer Girl” blasting out of the jukebox.
Next time someone tries to get a little skin show i would file a harassment report. That’s just wrong. As far as paying for a mentor I would’nt mind giving over 5 or 10 % of my loots if they had set me up in armor and weapons from the start. But heck mentors are mentoring for a reason, to be helpful.
Well before I ramble to much more, Welcomt to PE, have fun, if ya ever see “Big Dog” running around and need another gunner or melee give a shout.
P.S. get the guy you postponed the date with to play, instead of buying dinner and a movie get him to shower you with weapons and armor :laugh:

I had these types of problems too -you will also most likely not get belived as beeing a girl irl aswell. I have been harassased, bossed around, been called a liar and scammer (“I dont belive your a girl irl so your just trying to get something from me”) etc.
But for me, thats over now. -Just fight them!
ultimababe is also right, most of us girls here is about as naughty as the boys. And this game is swarming with gamer chicks! Try logging into pechat.spacedump.net on irc once and you´ll prolly meet alot of us
