Exploiting late rendering

[Moderated: Removed rule violation]

If you use a highly detailed face mask in PVP, you can have a significant advantage as it causes other player’s PCs to late render. You are invisible for some time (not a second, but many seconds) especially since LG already has trouble with lag.

It’s highly well known and used.

Enjoy.

Noted. Will go to PVP in a mankini, because there will be helluva lot to render.

Surely, in most PvP cases, these load times should only be effected by a second or two at best. Given that you have to zone into a landgrab away from the fort (i.e. you just can’t tp in) there should be ample time to load avatars unless you’re running a potato. Only thing I could think of which might cause issues with this on a more immediate basis is if someone is using the fort teleporters to spam themselves around (causing lag due to high frequency server move events), and cause re-rendering of their immediate surroundings?

simple solution avoid PVP
next?

sounds more of dev issue than a exploit, one can say that weapon special effects like cryo weapons/ medistim visuals, mess up the visibility of an avatar, maybe people will run spamming fireworks to make themselves not visible when attacking?

You don’t get to say Dev Issue on this forum. It’s “clearly a bug” and all exploiters must face the permanent ban hammer.

Sheesh… “Dev Issue”…

But my best guess is that high cycle avatars are involved which have MA by their pinky so absolutely nothing will happen.

since all items affect render time just make all pvp zones similar to hub
.. no clothes no armor unless its specific stuff from that zone purchased with tokens from there

The list of issues with rendering in Land Grab is very long. Hence we got MA official to witness and raise the issue with MA HQ.

My PC is built 7 years+ ago and I have all sort of rendering issues, especially in bigger crowds. People disappearing, walls disappearing and this is confirmed with players with much newer PCs. People playing more than one land grab already know this.
My LGs look like was shown in Bonnie’s stream:

First time I heard the mask issue was on discord from you. Now it’s the second time I hear. Since you mentioned it in discord, sadly, you haven’t come to LG, but I did look back at my LG videos to check my interactions with you, since I wear a mask long before I stepped in PVP . I only could find 2 encounters of us and in both it seems you see me and in both it’s clear you have much bigger issues with PVP than masks so maybe work on those first.

Bottom line we all wish for a bug free PVP, a bug free game or at least more enforcing when dev see players use unintended behaviours, they should just restrict, like they did with vehicles close to claim which made it impossible to contest and so many others…

You can easily see the folks that have no problem exploiting. @deception, it is the invisible part that makes it an exploit. It’s a very large advantage of the system.

It’s a report nonetheless. Mindark can do nothing about it as usual (amongst other things). It’s not like this is the first time it’s been reported, this is the first time it’s been made public.

It will always be the latter problem because the population is too small. There might be some engine restrictions as well, but this is the problem they created for themselves. It doesn’t matter whether it is someone’s PC, engine, etc or if it is a “dev issue” or a “bug”. This one is willfully being exploited, by a variety of characters.

Just saw the video posted on here it looks like you were able to see the player who was attacking you, I don’t they went invisible, I just think your aim was way off, you can download aim labs to get better at aiming, if such a bug does exist, we haven’t seen any video proof of anyone not rendering as of now

I am unsure what you are referring to. I don’t pvp except a couple times but for specific reason. I am reporting the common knowledge that multiple socs are using for some time now. FYI, trainers/3rd party software would be against TOS.

Take it or don’t.

Simple solution
BAN the ***** that cant play clean. The users know what they do. Cheaters always find excuses :poop:?

reported bambi for abusing usage of aimlabs to train better aim

Fyi Aimlabs is a program to help your reflexes not software to aim for you , not sure how it is TOS since pros in shooter games train their movement . It’s the same as an athlete getting a coach.

Ok,ok sorry ?

Walking backwards in pvp should be added in the TOS and a pvp temp ban should be given to anyone using it imo.

Whatever is so bad with walking backwards in PvP? Or are you just stirring?

Former counter strike player here. ?

Can’t pressume everybody in EU play competive shooters on the side. ?

My reflexes are so bad these days that i rather play mmorpgs, EU, non realtime strategy games and for a good reason! ?
