I’m rather surprised…shocked, really…that a forum search for “Heartbleed” turned up nada. Can anyone here or a MindArk official make a comment? Reassure us, tell us you’re not using OpenSSL, tell us if you were affected and later patched, or if we should be changing our passwords to login to the game?
MA is tight-lipped on a lot of things but this is one thing that begs some critical information.

This bug have been around for 2 years.
I can assure you this safty issue is not applicable for PE.
You dont even have to be a computer tech to understand that.
If its something the PE commucity is good at, its crying over lost peds. :silly2:
The second someone would have been hacked, we would have heard about it. Since PE is a game, there isnt much more to steal from players then money.
Affected OpenSSL was only fixed 4 days ago, so I wonder how knowledgeable you are on the subject?

Any info that has been encrypted previously could have been compromised by this issue; that includes any login accounts to OpenSSL servers.

P.S. I’m a network administrator with 18 years of experience working with computers. If you claim this issue doesn’t affect PE, can you support your claim somehow?
This may not apply in 2014 but once upon a time, MA only used Windows boxes. This bug does not affect Windows in any shape or form.
It may not affect the MS based software but it’s included in Apache which is used in many products as the web interface component.
For instance McAfee EPO uses Apache to drive it’s web interface.
Also Symantec Endpoint protection includes OpenSSL as well as some Cisco and VMWare stuff.
I also know that many institutions use Apache to publish webservices for their management systems from Windows Servers.
