Attempted a fresh installation on a spare machine with Windows 10. Result:
Failed to create application window.Microsoft Edge works on this one, and earlier versions of Entropia used to run on it without problems.
I love opening a window and hear my fans start blasting full speed. I honestly do not understand why because there isnât anything fantastic about them. Lazy programming? Craft-to-crash is lovely.
I hope these issues disappear when they do full switch to UE5.

You can try to run the executable at [ICODE]C:/Program Files (x86)/Entropia Universe/webview/MicrosoftEdgeWebview2Setup.exe[/ICODE], maybe it installs a more correct WebView?

This I really donât understand. They must see the way its coded is terrible atm but they keep adding it as is more and more into the game. You know for sure they are going to do it to the auction and then we are totally screwed. Itâs bad enough to have less crafting because of it, less looking at hof board for getting people addicted, but less buying⌠thats not good. It seems like itâs just super easy for them to pump out things with this new way that for their quality of life theyâll happily sacrifice ours and their income. Idk anything about coding but important things like craft/auction should probably be done to work instant when switching pages/screens and be even more convenient when doom scrolling the auction to entice people to buy stuff. Hopefully they can just keep auction as is and bring it to the new engine if they donât have the manpower to do it right so we donât have a repeat of the hof board/craft fiasco.
If opening a simple HOF window in-game makes CPU to work double then better bring back old windows.
Edit: Specially for WhiningSkeptic. This is my own experience with my own Hof window. As well with crafting window.

Went to try out your suggestion, but I donât have that setup program in my Entropia installation directory. Downloaded it from https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2?form=MA13LH#download (the âEvergreen Standalone Installerâ for x64). At first the popup where you need to agree to all the legalese was presented to me in Russian. No VPN running at the time or even during this session, double checked with https://whatsmyip.com so it should have been Swedish or English. Nevermind the weirdness (at Microsoft!), did it since this is just another throwaway installation. Result: âInstallation failed. The Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime is already installed on your system.â
Will try again with Linux first at the next VU, not going to waste more time on this. So long, and thanks for all the fishâŚ

Oh, you donât have it? The new installation of the ClientLoader should have written it somewhere in your EU-related directories, Iâd say.
I donât think that a downloaded version would solve the problem as that would be a newer version for sure. And yes, I had also downloaded it and also noticed the russian texts⌠I donât know what Microsoftâs doing wrong again, but thatâs just another minor reason to move away from Windows.
BTW, I had to run the local WebView-installer more than once to get rid of the error message as it also was failing a few times. Now I can run the ClientLoader, but itâs mostly a transparent window, which is why I need to run it a few times to make the UI appear. And then there is no mouse-cursor over the ClientLoaderâŚ

HOF window
- is super slow compared to to itâs predecessor, it needs to be instant
- loading animations will impress much more if loading much smoother and faster
- too few entries are shown, should be possible to see 8-10 entries at once
- itâs shiny now â like that part

Consider adjusting, I would like to see changed
- crosshair dashed lines - vertical and horizontal - when hovering the mouse in the graph
- boxes in the chart axis showing the numeric values where mouse is hovering
- bigger half-transparent box near where the mouse is hovering showing all data at once (if box getting too big then very small text size or possibility to toggle it on/off with right mouse click or similar)

What`s the deal with â>999999%â in Market Value window? Not possible to add more number spaces? At least with old window, when you hovered mouse cursor over it then it did show real mark-up in a pop-up. Does not work with new window. Real pain in the butt.
Edit: Lol, two minutes after writing it discovered that old way does not work with single item in window. However, it does work when 2 or more lines are in same window.
Old system way better I miss it ?
