[li]Some players may encounter a black window when the new Chromium-based UI attempts to render. We are improving overall compatibility in future updates. However, certain systems may continue to experience issues if hardware or drivers do not meet the required specifications. MindArk and the Planet Partners strive to ensure a smooth and problem-free Version Update. Nevertheless, even after extensive testing some issues may arise after release. Such issues are often addressed via mini-patches directly after a release and in subsequent patches. If you feel that the possibility of encountering minor issues or bugs directly after a Version Update affects your gameplay to an extent that Entropia Universe is not enjoyable, please wait until the mini-patches have been released and any last minute issues have been resolved.
The game is completely broken for Linux users after this patch, it refuses to start with both Proton and Wine saying that “Entropia Universe cannot run as Administrator.”
After the maintenance, AI missions were deleted. All completed missions with unclaimed rewards were also deleted. Many people are experiencing the same issue after 4, 7, or 10 hours have passed since receiving the missions.
Great update this one.
I have unticked run as administrator so I can log, been able to do so but after a while Marry Mayhem mobs have been spawned in OLA #60 and after this I am instantly crashing to desktop cannot do anything about it, even tried to run the game in safe mode.
not sure if I had a claim or not in the ground.
@Ludvig|MindArk can you please have a look at this?
Unfortunately this update broke my EU installation. I’m stuck at the launcher.
Subject: Entropia Universe ClientLoader Crash on Linux/Wine
Description:
I am running the Entropia Universe client on Linux using Wine 10.0. When launching ClientLoader.exe, the application immediately crashes with an int3 breakpoint in memory. Debug logs indicate the crash occurs at the instruction:
0x004b4132 clientloader+0xb4132: int3
The Wine debugger shows the module list loaded but no additional crash information. Threads related to Wine services and ClientLoader.exe are active, but the loader halts execution.
I’ve tried wine-staging which does have runas, but it just errors and based on the logs I think the API for creating a process under a logged-in user is semi-stubbed, so this may just be the death of EU on Linux. I’m going to keep messing with it though.
@Ludvig|MindArk
I am assuming the administrator check during launch is just preventative for users who have issues with the client under elevated privileges. I realize you don’t officially support Linux, but this has now broken the game for all Linux users. Could you please revert this change?
Can not run tshi s..t after update - error “please disable run as administator” when its will be working normal again? Uninstall and reinstall did’t help
indeed
It seems the client loader does an active OS check, and refused to launch when not on the latest windowscrap or something alike.
The same on steam for linux users.
Exactly the same happens at the teleporter at Ngu Volcano on Cyrene.
I have been playing without any issues after the vu, until I tp’d to that teleporter. Game immediately crashed, and now it crashes again within 3 seconds after logging in, again and again. Hopefully I’ll be able to use the teleporter within those 3 seconds sooner or later, or it’s no more EU for me for some time…
