  • Chat has been reworked to provide a cleaner and cleaner more readable and faster experience

  • AD screens has been reworked and now offers a wider range of customizability

  • Crosshairs and Rifle Scopes have been reworked, crosshairs now shift style between ranged, melee and mindforce

  • Performance and responsiveness of the new interface have been greatly improved

Auction

  • Sell to Best Order: Sell queued items directly to the highest matching buy order, with price verification before confirmation.

  • Apply Lowest Comparable: Price items using the current lowest comparable buyout with a single click.

  • Market Information: Day, week, and month markup info and sales volume are displayed directly on each staged selling row.

  • Markup Entry: Enter prices as markup percentages instead of PED, with your preferred mode remembered between sessions.

  • Sell Queue: Prepare, configure, and batch-submit multiple listings inside a single selling queue with automatic stack-splitting.

  • Safeguards: Instant warnings within the Auction window protect against accidental underpricing or listing below market levels.

  • Quantum Set Capsule: Craft single-use containers to package and sell complete, inspectable item configurations (such as armor sets or weapon setups) as a single listing.

Map

  • Interactive 3D & 2D Modes: Explore terrain, settlements, destinations, and waypoints in real-time from an entirely new perspective.

  • Precise Location Tracking: Reworked technology presents more accurate positions for mission NPCs, dynamic events, and other key world activities.

Client Performance and Visuals

  • Large performance improvement in busy graphical areas. Static meshes and vegetation are now rendered as instanced batches instead of one by one, cutting per-frame CPU work by more than 60% in dense scenes. On our test machines, areas that used to dip to around 30 fps now run at 100 fps and above.

  • Smoother world: objects and level-of-detail changes now fade instead of popping, on every quality setting.

  • Frametime has been increased on all settings

  • Several stutters and hitches have been reduced or completely removed

  • Texture streaming has been enabled as an option under advanced settings to further reduce cpu bound texture loading

  • Shadows have been reworked on all settings providing a more realistic and performant experience on all settings

  • Low, Medium, High and Very High graphics have been reworked

  • Ambient Occlusion (SSAO) has been added to advanced graphical settings

Additional new Features

  • New profession rank titles have been added, extending progression all the way to level 1000

Changes

  • Tier-Rate Amplifiers now give a consistent Tier Increase Rate bonus based on the item’s maximum instead of its current rate, so their benefit no longer varies from item to item. This effectively means that the current amplifiers will give +20 to Unlimited items or +400 to limited items

  • The Ice Shield Chip’s cooldown has been adjusted to 15 minutes and now uses its own dedicated cooldown group

  • Raw fish caught while fishing can now be sold on the auction, and has its own auction category

  • Auction categories have been reorganized so that fishing catches, cooking-chain ingredients, and cooked foods are now sorted into clear, dedicated categories, making it easier to find and list them

  • Cooking recipes and blueprints are now organized in the auction into Cook, Nutritionist, and Provisioner sub-categories

  • Codex tracking slots are now counted per territory, so tracking creatures in one territory no longer blocks you from tracking on another

Bug Fixes

  • The Void Umbranoid Codex challenge now contributes to the Attribute Meta challenge as intended

  • Fixed an issue where the Void Umbranoid Codex challenge could appear twice, with rewards claimable from only one

  • Fixed an issue where the Codex icon could indicate an unclaimed reward that could not be found or claimed in any challenge

  • Fixed an issue where tracking entries in the Codex might block tracking on other planets

New Setting Recommendations

  • Medium settings are now recommended for low-to-medium performance hardware. If you previously played on Low, we encourage you to switch to Medium for an improved experience.

  • We strongly recommend keeping GPU-accelerated UI rendering enabled for optimal performance and interface responsiveness, even on integrated graphics cards. If you encounter any display issues, please update your graphics drivers first, as disabling this feature should be a last resort.

  • We also strongly recommend enabling MSAA (2x, 4x, or 8x) even on low graphics settings, as it significantly improves visual quality with minimal impact on framerate for most machines.

Due to the number of changes to graphics and graphical settings, we strongly suggest that before you press to enter the character creator, that you change graphical settings to something else, save and restart the game. Otherwise you may experience slightly ā€œoffā€ visuals.

Please also clear your shaders cache if you have any issues with skin brilliance.

You can find the shaders cache if using steam here: steamapps\common\Entropia Universe\public_users_data\shaders

If playing on standalone, it is where you installed Entropia: public_users_data\shaders\cache

We recommend clearing this before starting the game

The avatar in the picture looks a bit like a young Hugh Grant just an extremely Irish version.

So how to change this new huge crosshair to something normal? I can’t even see mob through it…

You can find settings for your Crosshair under Options > Crosshair, including color, size, and opacity.

The auction interface initial reaction - OMFG you’ve got to be kidding me.

How do we get to see item categories? Any hints? OK, answer - VERY accurate mousing - sheesh!

Now looking for map options but none found so far. The map is now absolutely shite in my opinion, unless I can change it closer to what it used to be.

Edit: when I open the map it is off-centre unless I change the size manually via the bottom right, and my active waypoint disappeared when I closed and reopened the map. It is still active, however. How do I get it back on the map? [Ah, the waypoint changes its appearance… riiiiiiight!] - what a cluster this is!

Progress? Not even the progress bar is ā€˜progress’! - edit: noticed that the progress visuals no longer have the name PROGRESS in huge letters at the top, but still takes up too much space!

OMG OMG OMG - the space map is EVEN worse! Spaceships look like portions of chips that you aren’t allowed to eat on the bus!

Why is map no longer colorful as it was before? So hard to find now how to navigate if you don’t know tp name.

Even with changing resolution up a notch, every window is so big i cant do anything, 900p and a mining finder window takes up almost 1/4 of the screen. Auction takes up the whole screen. And even beside the window size, its less info and slower and more painful interactions (putting up orders takes at least twice the time)

It’s gonna take a while to process all of this. Still downloading. Hopefully everything works as intended, but judging by the comments here already it’s obvious that a few patches are going to be needed

I have an older PC and it was running smooth before this update and now I experience lag in every action even on low graphic settings.

If I click map/teleport it lags so bad that I just want to shut the game down in one minute before I find where I want to teleport…

And auction interface seems so bad now comparing to what we had earlier.

I get a message, that the update server can’t be reached?

Just a small detail noticed right at first login after updating: Previously I could set the reticle opacity to 0% to make it invisible. Now I’m only allowed a reduction to 50%. I’d like to get the slider back to 0, please. Or better even, the choices of a handful different crosshair shapes that existed before the reticle, they all were much smaller. If this is out of the question, I’d rather not have to see it at all.

Btw the game runs fine on my pc but fan speeds are significantly higher than before even on low graphics settings. The MSAA recommendation does make an additional difference so I’ll leave it off.

Avatar skin tone looks ā€œplastic/reflectiveā€, had same when CE2 avatar update came.

Guess will be patched as we go

Why is the ore finder radar twice the size it used to be? Why is the Inventory still not scalable? Why can’t I move the pet info? When I’m mining 70% of my screen is covered in UI

Deleting everything in the cache like you said made a world of difference to everything, my armour and clothees looked rubbish when i first logged back in as did most other things, they were all to bright but after the delete cache files it looks stunning, my armour actually looks black again and some guys armour near me at the moment has gold trim that looks amazing.

My face mask looks more detailed also, nice one.

The fonts and new windows/auction layouts etc im sure we will all get used to but its going to hurt my brain for a few days for sure.

The new maps a bit naff, were not looking for gold bearing ancient river beds using lidar so i cant figure out why we have lidar map, everwhere i used to go to is lost to me as i cant see any landmarks, are we going to be able to change it from topical/lidar to an actual map? if so when? ill come back when thats done, as its doing my head in this map

All in all 2 thumbs up so far  im a graphics guy so had 64gig of ram and good gear so i wasnt expecting pc issues.

regards.
