Do I get in the Creators Club with my maps?

Holy f, every time Mindark tries to do something theres always a few off you that complain. Go and play another game then, no one is forcing you to play. You are only spreading hate, don’t bother commenting then.
This sounds great Mindark, glad to see that you are focusing on one key point!
Awesome, looking forward to seeing where this goes! ![]()
You lost me at this,
There is never a better time to tune into some Entropia streams on Twitch, or videos on YouTube, both to get immersed in the game but also to support our great creators.
Now you want an immersive experience? Man pick what your aiming for already will you.
Some folks have raised this suggestion in the past. I’m of two minds. I’m happy for our content creators if they receive some bonus financial support, although I worry a lot about whether it will come with hidden strings restricting what opinions they are allowed to publicize, or when and how long they are required to stream to hit top-down targets, which could lead to the space becoming dominated by those who are willing to treat streaming like a corporate career and crowding out those who approach streaming as, with equal validity, either a side hobby, or a content creator career with all the autonomy and flexibility such careers typically offer. On the other hand, this feels like potentially yet another instance of the developers infiltrating a domain which is supposed to be territory and creative space of Entropians, in line with their buying out Entropia Forum (today Planet Calypso Forum) and Entropedia (today Entropiawiki). I think the fact that just a couple of years after the wiki was transferred from players to developers, our focus dramatically shifted from being proud of what a rich and useful resource Entropians had collectively built, to being impatient and intolerant of its imperfections, is a salient illustration of how developer infiltration into a playerbase’s space can drain the magic right out of something. Twitch raids are another example. The point of a Twitch raid has always been its spontaneity and organic character. Out of the middle of nowhere, a streamer’s viewer count goes through the roof and everyone starts spamming the same message for no visible reason. As soon as Twitch formally acknowledges the concept of a raid and builds it as a feature into the platform with a raid button and a “you are being raided” message, it loses its strength as an expression of authentic, bottom-up Internet user behavior.
Whether this will actually affect the size of the playerbase is hard to say. We tried it on ComPet without success; I think we got Shadybunny, Alliestrasza, and a third streamer I’d never heard of to play ComPet, but you could blame other factors. I’m kind of on the same page with Sulje’s point that our modern problems are less about getting eyeballs on Entropia than fixing internal issues, but I would put less focus on ephemeral issues like no looters, sticking in rocks, etc., and more on the rough, intuitive sense of Entropia’s genuine value potential which becomes apparent very early.
At least you remembered that marketing is a thing. Better late than never as they say.
Nice initiative. Please also work on improving the player retention rate.
This can be good or bad depends on how MA handles it, i think MA should hold content competitions on basic tutorials and content, and let the public/players vote if the content is useful or fun, to be endorsed. incentivizing it can be good or can be bad if people only go for monetary gain, i would suggest maybe, some official MA endorsed content. I make videos as a ho by but im sure if the incentive is good im sure people can make good tutorials or guides.
Or explain to new players they need to spend $20000 to get a mid range setup to play the games major events then have people tell them they need also need another $4000 for bankroll with that setup and that it that will probably disappear in 2 weeks with nothing to show for it.
No one had to explain me anything when I registered, I just seen bunch of people making tens of tousands of $.I had enough at that moment.
Investing all my money I ever had and burrow more to deposit was obviously the next step.
Not everyone is born with such knowledge mind! Luck is also a factor and we all know.
We also can’t downplay the factor of time, despite skilling being easier than it ever was, it’s still the most gridy game I’ve ever came across, any new player only has their gaming experience to draw from and Entropia is a shock to the system with just how insane it is to try and level up. The sheer number of disciples I’ve seen cop out half way through mentoring is wild because in the time they could complete a big AAA game, they have had 0 fun, made almost no progress by entropia standards and can’t see the point in the game and it’s hard to explain.
This isn’t me complaining or misunderstanding, I love the game and know how it works obviously, but it’s hard for new players to understand why when the good stuff is eternally out of reach by their perception. There’s no good missions, no cut scenes, nothing exciting or captivating going on. Early game needs serious work for the UE5 launch.
What’s your take here?
Extremely difficult, first of all I am not a game developer I see everything through a lense on how to make money playing games, this is why I registered, this is why I keep playing and hopefully I will not bore to death going like this even though there are signs of me getting old.
If I will ever change the reason above then I might come across your questions and I believe they are very hard to answer, I don’t have an answer right now because my interests are still to make money.
I suppose knowing exactly what you want from yourself then see what you can get from playing this game will quickly answer all your questions.I suppose everyone needs to run this through their own person before commit.
Yeah fair enough! Wrong person to ask, I just try to see things from the perspective of different types of players and obviously making profit is a pipe dream till end game level (or getting super lucky early on) and the big focus for making the game attractive to new players would be engaging content and a compelling story amongst other things, a game with heavy hitting moments early on that make new players think wow this games so cool!
Do mindark want a class leading interactive casino or do they want an engaging game that people love for its gameplay and story, with all the benefits of a real cash economy?
It’s easy to sit and say good things when your sitting at the top looking down but if you really want to drive growth it starts at the bottom.
At least this is all my opinion and take on the game, I know what I’d love to see. I take a lot of pleasure in bringing in new players but it’s a tough hands on job that pays absolutely nothing.
There is nothing in the history of the game that attract new players and make them return than big hofs early days and the feeling they won something big out of nothing. But I guess that’s just me, im sure others love the social aspect. Not me.
Maybe it makes sense to create a video with QR-codes bouncing up and down that link to these?

The header could be “Join the game and help us out”. That doesn’t necessarily have to bounce (not sure, though).
Am I the only one who saw a bunch of nice words but no real explanation of what they are going to do?
I’m not ma so ofc can’t say all that they are doing, but so far they have clamped down on the ad farmers on Entropia Twitch category, reached out to content creators with guidelines and help, created a space for collabs and support, brought content creators together into a hub which is ofc in the early days.
In addition, it looks like they will promote creators over official socials and ad campaigns , and revitalise a push into bringing in new players.
I think it’s a massive push in the right direction and hope a lot of good comes of it ![]()
This word soup is high in saturated buzz words but quite lacking in nutritional details.
This is like MA saying “we want more influencers promoting EU, so contact us if you’ve got a following we can exploit and we’ll figure something out” lol
Sounds like a neat idea I guess based on the very vague details. But this isn’t the first time this type of thing was “announced” but didn’t go anywhere. How’s that NFT affiliate program thing going anyhow? How about the initiative where you paid a few EU youtubers to do tutorials. How is this different?
Really, you don’t need more media coverage of the game… you need a better game. The most prolific games you see on twitch and social media is due to natural, organic exposure and word of mouth because the game is good and worthy of organically sharing with friends. Trying to jump start with corporate initiative is going to have the same results as always. Entropian’s making content for existing Entropians in an echo chamber.
You want more people talking about EU? How about you stop wasting your time with this crap and instead start putting out some details, media, gameplay footage…etc about the “upcoming” Unreal version like you promised you would be doing regularly!!! Been nearly 2 years since the last thread. I think a year since any comment at all? So what happened with that promise? Probably the same that’s gonna happen with this one.
I eagerly await the onrush of new players brought about by this initiative.
Good luck with it.
