Hi i was wandering if the skill bonus works on wweapons beacuse i cannot find a weapon that says yes even in a weapon area that i have no experience in. Thankyou

Yes, the skill bonus works on certain weapons, not pre VU 7.6 weapons though.
But take a look at the Limited series of weapons, all of those have a skill bonus,
It seems like you have the skill bonus from a certain skill level untill you reach the level where you are able to deliver full damage using the weapon.
You can find a few maces in the auction, such as the Assail and the Basher.
The maces which can be found in the auction will increase in damage depeding on you’re Light Melee Weapon lvl, Melee Combat lvl and Inflict Melee Damage lvl, aswell as a few other secondary skills. But those three are the most important in order to get a good damage using one of the maces.
It is possible to do maximum damage with one of the maces, even if you’ve never used a melee weapon before though. This is if you’ve unlocked certain hidden skills and gained them to a high level. Some high-skilled ranged people seems to be able to do this, due to the fact that both ranged weapons and melee weapons uses a few of the same skills to increase the damage done.

To make it short and simple, it works like this:
Not skilled enough - No Bonus
Skilled enough to use it - Bonus
Skilled enough to do max damage - No Bonus
