I would think that, like the real world, the vast majority of people who make a profit in the game would be high on the food chain. What I mean is that people who are still mining or hunting three years into playing will not have made any real money, but those who create more complex economic systems in the game (clubs, factories, stores, banks) will stand at least some chance of make actual money. Just like RL.
I loose monney but hey some spend the monney i put in a month in pe a night in a good pub

I made deposits of 17 dollar/month, exept last month.
Total i deposit 102 dollar.
When i count my TT value of the items + the ped i have on my card, i have 1050 ped.
So i play all the time for free
Even it is on low lvl hunting like exo’s.
When i shall sell it on auction, it’s even more ( i think 1400 ped, acording to pe-trade.net).
I never withdraw any pec, and when i get some nice loot, i still keep it in the game.
Perhaps i buy a nice item or so.
I think the only time i withdraw my money, is when i quit playing (NOT in planning for a long long time ).
I hope i don’t have to deposit any more and get goot loot to buy nicer items 
Or i get a uber n00b still hunting with a opalo when i reach more than 5000 rifle skills, LOL

To me, PE is not about making money. I enjoy being in this virtual universe for recreation purposes and i think of the deposited money as gone.
No i dont make money in PE. I have to deposit now and then and the day i will leave Calypso i´m not sure if i will sell out either. I might just keep my stuff so if i ever should return i then will have a good start

Thats having fun… so imo its worth it.
I was first drawn in by the real-economy.. . then i realized that this is a LONG term game. So I looked away from the “greed” aspect and started looking at the “fun” side. This changed my outlook of the game immensely. I dont mind depositing… I like being entertained, and I am willing to pay for it.
If I happen to make money then great… if not … oh well.
Play to have fun… if you profit… more power to you.

Like most players I too deposit some euros (almost 300 in 3 months ~ 360 USD).
And I agree with Drifter, play the game for fun.
In real life, money is already the most important thing (hmmm, perhaps health and then money…) so release yourself from the stupid money pressure.
Play, have fun, make new friends and don’t spend all your time trading and make some PED. Life is too short.
not even close to earning peds. but hey… its just money right? if i dont spend them here ill just throw them away somwhere else. :rolleyes:

I spend the same as a month’s pe deposit on a night at a bad pub
Only if i calculate my total market value worth, i’d be up about +2k ped if i sell all. (~31k peds) And i don’t count my ~120k skills, since i will never sell any skills anyway. :silly2:
So no, i don’t make any money, but i never planned to either.
feals like i have commented to many of these proffit/no proffit threads…but no will be my answer to the question..my proffit in a certain ammount of peds ammo can be great sometimes but its never like that in the long run..

Would be nice to see some actual deposit/withdrawal statistics(balance) for project entropia as a whole …I suspect its something like a 9.99:0.01 ratio - 9.99 being deposits and 0.01 being withdrawals
…so far I have like a handfull people that I can confirm that they have actualy withdrawn anything without selling out(quitting)
Allmost all people want to compete with others, who doesnt want to be the best? Therefore I belive alot of people create an image about there ingame - profficiancy/history and so on,that alot of the time (most of the time imo) doesnt match up to the truth.
As for my self ..I have never actualy given withdrawal much though, why withdraw when I will have to deposit more later?
From day one I’ve had to deposite between 20 to 30 dollars each payday(every two weeks) so that I can keep playing. I do spend a lot of time skilling/hunting though, so to me it’s worth it. I sure do have a lot of fun with it all. Maybe someday I will have a high enough set of skills that I can start to make some of my money back. I don’t expect it though. I chalk it up to cheap intertainment.
i basicly withdraw 300-400 USD every month, but i have deposited some amount and have decent skills and equipment i.e mod fap, full shadow.
