Tigerman, Avery and Dinivan and others have mentioned that they regually “make” money on PE. Dinivan has mentioned that he regually makes withdrawals and they all say that they don’t act as re-sellers.
I personally don’t make enough to withdraw but enough to keep me in game which I’m happy with, it is after all, a game.

I haven’t played for long, but so far I’m making money on sweating. On the other hand it’s no amount worth talking about, and it’s spent on the fly on armor repairs etc. :laugh: Haven’t made as much as a dime on hunting yet tho.
I used to make money, sometimes even a great deal of money. I even withdrew money, or acctualy I sold a great deal of peds to another player while it was still allowed. I have taken out as much as I have deposited, so what I have in now is for free. But the money making days are over. Now days I only go with loss, constantly. And I’m surprised that the above mentioned names claim they make money, if they do, then it cannot be a mentionable amount, since they rarley are on the HoF list. But IF they make money, it’s on trading and reselling.

i had a disciple,that got 800 ped 30 minutes after i gave him a axe,he then withdraw 400/40$,but,like i know he never got that money.That was 6 months ago,or even more.
He quit playing after loosing all his peds,which was very hard for him.he got more hofs in those few weeks ,then me in 1 year.Even had full nemesis after first week,and i was still in rascal:)
So,if fortuna gives you a french kiss,its posible,but i would say no:)

You KNOW he didnt get the money he withdrew… I don’t believe it.
I know him personaly,and i wouldnt know any reason why he would lie to me.
Never once made a profit in the game lol, depending on how much I feel like loosing any given day is when I will deposit a paycheck or 5 Been playing since like July 20, 2003. Now all of that time I haven’t been playing, I would take the few months break here and half a year break there when I just became dirt poor lol, well some of that time I didn’t have cable internet or a comp to play on, but I still love the game Only HoF’ed 2 times, 1 time was on Cersummon Dominant for 229 ped and the last time was on Allo grouped with 1 other person for like 2k HoF so had to split it, still was happy I recovered my loss I spent the last 2 days 
Thank god I don’t have any other addictions at the time being that eat up money… I feel sorry for the smokers out there that play PE, they gotta choose between a pack of smokes or to deposit that into PE… that is if they are like totally addicted like some of us are I frequently give up my food budget for the game lol… MA might have to start adding real world food items to the game so I can stay fed

I make deposits but if I calculate approx. market value of my skills (by chips filled), I have profitted some. I wont sell them but IMO that’s only way to figure if this is expensive for me or not. And it’s not

A technical note. he probably lives in a country, where the cost of withdrawal (the bank payments when the money is transferred through
3 banks) is 38 USD. He simply tried to withdraw too little. In some countries
it is cheaper, but I happen to live in a country where it is that round-about
40 USD.
So, withdraval is possible, but you better withdraw 1k USD at a time
to minimise costs. The costs are easy to estimate, just walk to your
bank and ask how much it would cost for your grandmama in Sweden
to send you some bucks on your account.
But be prepared that simply asking this question may cost some 20 USD 
. And if the bank clerk asks what da hell your grandma does
in Sweden, just tell she is in the movie business.
PS: depositing costs too, about 4.5 USD per time, so I am more inclined
to deposit 100 USD seldom than 10 USD often.

I have played for 2 years at only 10 US a month on average. I am curretnly worth about 800 or so PED so that would mean i’ve payed only about 160/24 months thats only 6.66 US dollars a month. Thats pretty goodif you ask me so i dont think i’m loosing at all i’m gaining.
i’m sure a lot of people who voted no they loose thinkink differently though.
Dinivan making money on regular basis and not from trading, strange.. he is hardly ever playing nowdays, fells like someone is braging alitle to much :silly2:
I have been going through weird cycles lately. Profit on mining lose it on hunting profit on hunting lose it on mining. lol So the ped card bounces around quite a bit if I don’t make any impulse purchases I can can profit but it usually take 24hrs with the auction to see just how much. If I can ever get a profit on hunting and mining at the same time well then thats golden:saint:.
If I usually make good profits for a while I will use that for equipment upgrades. Havent tried to take money out but I probably wouldnt do that unless I was going to quit or hit the ped millionaire hof lol :rolleyes: yeah right

Rex I love your points and reasoning. Thats exactly how i look at it, and tell my disciples to go about it, but it wasn’t quite the question I was asking.
Another quick point is I suppose it depends where you’re from. I understand their are countries for whom a dollar a day is a good salary so on that basis sweating could be considered full time employment with a decent wage. I wonder if there are any players from these countries?

Sorry misunderstood your question. I guess if I wasnt upgrading and really watched my ped I could probably take out a few withdrawls during the year. I just find to many things to spend ped on :tongue2:
I’m with the losing crowd unfortunately. And skills dont help cos as you get higher, and so is everone else, MA just adjusts the scale, else everyone would start making money and they would start losing. Makes sense I guess else they would not be able to host this game anymore.

Not everyone is getting better at the same rate and don’t forget all the new players that start from scratch. According to Marco, stated several times, MA’s revenue stream is from decay so they can’t just “adjust the scale” as such to make sure they get more money. Sure they can make some tweaks to influence overall decay income but it’s a blunt tool, pardon the pun.
Yes you have to be highly skilled to make money in most professions, but you also need to play smart, i.e. do things efficiently, network and so on. It’s not easy or quick but I do believe that it can be done. What makes it easier is a good flow of new players coming in and depositing. It also helps that most people never withdraw money, most of the value of the deposits keeps going round in circles amongst the players and eventually the better players will gain a larger slice of the increasing pie.
This is a game/project that needs to be viewed in the long term really as far as making any money. You will need time and money to get to the stage where you can profit. I wouldn’t expect a player to really be able to profit in say hunting without more than a year’s play and a significant cash investment, unless they were extremely lucky. I’ve been playing for 10 months now and my outlook for this is 2 to 3 years. In that time I should be uber and if new players keep joining then I will expect to be in profit then.
