Hello dear forum ! When i start playing Entropia i just joined to check it because friend told me about it . Now it past like 2 years or more and i really want to stay BUT . My first name is Spermer and i really want to change it because i don’t like it and i am sure other people don’t as well.
I asked MindArk and they pretty much say :

It is in violation of the Entropia Universe Account Terms of Use (ToU).

We hope you understand how this policy helps to build trust inside the virtual universe. Allowing avatar names to be changed would undermine confidence in existing avatar relations.

And please don’t ask me why i make it this name . I just wanted to check the game and not play it all.
Is there something more that can be done ?
Well i know of two. Star changed his, i think it was porn star (someone will confirm this) and BooBGirL Juicy WeT (juicy fruit monster now). So i think spermer should also fall in same category.
I’m reasonably confident that oz2 was able to change his avatar name also.
But only MIndark can effect the name change so you have to convince them. Perhaps you could argue that others find it offensive or something like that?
I have been called onanist and sperma many times . I knew we can’t do much here in forum just wanted to see what folks think . Starting new support case now and will try push them to change it .
Yea thanks for answers i am sure they will not change it anyway . I am actually feel better now whit knowing of other cases since i knew for Star case and thougt its about the “porn” . If MindArk is cool whit my name then i will take the responsible of make it and leave it that way . Just hope to not see much names like mine in Entropia because the theme is not about . Yes I was able to have my name changed within the hour, but I think only because I was using my real last name or that MA maybe just liked the new name OpaloMan
Well I wanted to change my Ava name to “Big Dick Tomlin” but Mind Ark said they had spoken to my Wife and this name would be a lie so it was against the TOU
I think it’s fair to say many people don’t put a great deal of thought into the avatar name in the beginning. I know I certainly didn’t (I had no idea what I was getting in to!) and my ‘middle name’ is Weltmeister, but I set my name as Steveyneo for everything. It’s good that the system allows you to change your displayed name.
Mac, it’s worth going back to support again about it. It sounds like a generic copy n paste response they’ve given you but perhaps if you explain again they may be willing to make the change in this instance.
I know of five possible name change reasons that I have seen over the years:

I’ve seen all of the above happen. There may be other scenarios (I can think of some).
If you cant persuade Mindark to alter your name (it may involve a fee admittedly) then you may need to re-roll and start over - some say life is easier as a female avatar (I have no idea )
If you see it from their point of view, they dont want to be inundated with requests and they certainly dont want to make the ‘bad guys’ unfindable. They are reasonable people though, and if you ask politely they may grant your request.
Somewhat unfair ways to convince MA to change ur ava name
find porn-actor with same name and say there may be copyright issues :laugh:
say u cannot deposit into this game as people don’t want to deal with you because ur name isn’t trustworthy and offensive
say u cannot properly enjoy the social part of the game
say your religious girlfriend is very offended by that nickname and u’re afraid she might deny your marriage proposal
say u had to go to rehab to undergo an anti-suicidal therapy. Doctors said u need positive emotions. “I live in a 3rd world country / bad district <describe that its hard to live here, terrifying news about world’s future etc.>. EU became for me the only source of positive emotions. I feel so abused because of that name. Please please please help me.”
