I intend on transferring a reasonable sum via bank transfer. Are there any players from NZ here, that have done this before?
Regardless, could someone tell me the fee structure? I can’t seem to find anything about it on eu website. It is entirely possible that I overlooked the information somewhere ?
Im not familiar with NZ but can you not just buy peds/strongboxes on the webshop?
I want to deposit mid-high 5 figure PED. If I do traditional CC deposit, I lose a lot to fees. And I don’t want to have to grind through 5 figures of uni ammo either before I can buy the items I want ?
personally I go through Wise and not my traditional bank to make a purchase of strongboxes key, whose fees are exorbitant.
I make a transfer from my account to Wise, it’s quite fast, less than a weekday.
Then I pay for the keys with my Wise visa card, it’s free, the account is free and there is a remuneration of the money that you deposit and that you do not use right away.
No, this is not a sponsored advertisement, I share my experience because it was a big problem to buy keys without being robbed by my bank.
Before the arrival of the boxes, it could go with a simple transfer from my bank to my EU account, but to buy keys, you can’t do it in-game, so I had to find an intermediary to limit the conversion fees € => $.
For example, on a payment of $500, that is to say €458.28; I paid 2.11€ in fees, or 0.46%.
For a payment of $800, that is to say 756.84€; I paid 3.48€ in fees, or 0.46%.

I was in the same situation 5 months ago and I can tell you, I received a lot of advice to not go down that route. However, when I did a bank transfer, I did it through my bank which doesn’t have foreign transaction fees, so it was a straight transfer USD->Ped.
From my experience, fees are not on MA’s side when doing bank transfers, they’re on your banks side or the currency conversion, which is also your bank.

I was just going to mention Wise, beaten by previous poster.
However, even with that I would not use their card either, but do a manual bank transfer. This will be really 2 transfers, a domestic transfer to Wise’s NZD account first and another domestic transfer on the receiver’s side. Wise does the currency exchange internally and likely beat any card fees.
In Entropia, choose to deposit in USD, because it translates directly into PED. Ask support for their USD bank details if they are not given in the interface. In Wise, open a USD balance and choose “add money” and then in the payment interface, you can select your local currency. You likely get to choose from several payment methods, the fees are displayed with each one. When you get a message saying “you added to your balance”, depending on location within minutes or 1-2 business days, you do the second transfer from there, same procedure.
The only additional delay will be the KYC procedures when opening an account with Wise. It doesn’t cost anything, even if this remains the only time you use it. Probably several of us who recommend them have affiliate links, if you’re so inclined to allow someone the benefit.
Assuming your funds are earmarked for entertainment and not removed from more secure investments or impinging on necessities. Good luck!
So if i understand you correctly, I should be able to ask my bank what their currency rate fees are, subtract that from my anticipated deposit total, make the deposit via direct bank transfer and confidently expect that sum to end up in my EU account as PED with no other fees on MA side?

Correct, you should be able to find out from your bank if they have any international transfer fees or currency conversion fees. Some will have both, one or the other, or neither. I confirmed no fees would occur from my bank, depo’d and got that exact amount 3-4 days later all at once in ped. It is important to follow the instructions on the EU depo-page
Though before you make a big decision like that, I feel the need to ask, have you taken notice of the multitude of mid to high to end game players that are: a) criticizing the game direction from MA b) refusing to participate in events c) cashing out
