interesting how stuff still feels familiar and all the controls and shortcuts are still engraved in your mind, even after beeing away for 8 years, but then again, my account is almost 21 years old, so it had been a big part of my life for a while.
Trying to get the hang of some of the new stuff, learning all the new weapons and hunting some creatures, it is kinda fun again.
If you wanna hear about the old days and how stuff used to be better (not really, we were complaining about everything 20 years agp as well) ask me, I’m sure I have some stories (says the old guy).
Welcome back! I think there is a subtle yet important difference! In the old days folks used to complain about MindArk a lot (slow support case response times, failure to feed the loot hamster, etc.), but there was typically an atmosphere of extremely high regard for Entropia itself, the Entropia community, and possible futures. Today folks actually complain about every aspect of the ecosystem.
I came back last winter after a seven year break. If you still have an active society then just spam soc chat. It will take a while but not that long until you are up to date. Just get shooting and everything will sort itself out in a few weeks.
Nope not in a soc, but people have slowely been telling me about stuff.
And yep, had around 600 PED TT in storage, some stuff with pretty nice marjup too. My A101 is kinda nuts with TT+300 or so
One thing I notice, but I guess that was already going on 8 years ago is the lack of people just chating and doing stuff. Maybe we need to try and get the parties going again, of the Opalo Hunt for HOF (or whatever gun is in the TT these days)
And one other thing I instantly started doing agian is gather data. Used to do that for the Entropiaplanets Wiki, but I have an excel sheet already with data on the creatures I’m killing.
