So, what would you like to see implemented to better the ingame auction?
These are the few that i could think of if you have more ideas, post them!

Auction Fee Based on % of Sold Value
A big no to this one. That would make low value items to be sold on the auction and high value items to be traded between players. It’s better the other way around (the way it is now).
But it would be nice with a feature that shows your auction history with everything you have sold and bought within the last month or so.
Search on seller, we often hear someone say “I have this and that for sale in auction…”, others might have the same item for sale in auction, so could be nice to search for a specific seller and his items.
First three items free for auction fee, additional auctions would cost a fee, maybe even higher than the 1 ped fee now, as the first three would be free, that way poor avatars have a chance to use the auction too.
don’t have any additions personally (hehe, since i created the list!).
i voted for watching items, blocking TT items, and seeing who bought your stuff.
i like all three of the additional ideas too!

I voted for no TT items and auto bid
Nothing like placing a bid and then u r out in the middle of now where hunting and ur bid is surpassed then u have to spend a bunch of time getting to an auctioneer to up it, and really seeing something u can buy from the tt selling at auction for tt+? really makes u feel sad for someone that doesn’t know that they wasted their peds
Some sort of autobidder. Kinda like this ------->

Glad to see you put in the one about who bought your items… I was just talking about that the other day and I could not think of a good reason why we should not know who purhcased what we had to sell… ![]()

yeah. i think it would be good to know if someone was buying say, every piece of clothing you auction. might as well find them and work out a direct trade.
hmm, here is one i didn’t put on the list and just thought of:
being able to post a comment about an item. both as the seller and as a viewer/bidder.
as a seller, you could extole on why your product should be bought. as a viewer, you could let people know that an item is TT and no one should bid on it. as a buyer, you could…try to scare people off from bidding by threatening to PK them
.
goes without saying there would need to be a character limit on the postings to keep them small. and the seller should be able to edit theirs.

Hmm- I wouldn’t go for this. Sure it could work somewhat to one’s advantage, but it could work to your disadvantage. What if some jerk comes along and happens to write up a bunch of things like “Don’t buy from this seller! scammer!” etc etc…

if the shoe fits…
but, you are correct. it could (and would) be abused. just like the current auction is with people selling punishers, black shirts/pants, basic shirt and pants tailoring BPs with QR 1, all for a markup because they are not normal TT items.
i just would like to call these types of people out for what they are, i suppose.
I would go for % of item sold but to prevent flooding with low value items make min sale value, also capping fee at something like 2 ped or their about would be good so it dose not hurt high value item sales

I like this idea about having a minimum… doesn’t have to be big… just perhaps 2 ped minimum or something. Then we could eliminate the 1 ped auction off fee potentially for, as MB had suggested at one time, the first few items you put up at auction (after day 3 items at auction at any one time you start paying the fee). The idea behind the auction fee was to eliminate too many small items btw ![]()
Then again- some crafters, etc, might be upset if they just need to a few wool, or hides or whatever and they have to buy over 2 ped… but then again they can just buy it in town ![]()

I believe in 3 and 6, auto-bidding and seeing who bought your items.
Auction fee based on % of sold value is definitely not interesting for MindArk as most of the items sold through the auctioneer are low-end items (would help Jester D-1/Mann MPH crafters though)
Blocking TT items from being sold will not be interesting for MindArk as they have a nice extra income from those scams.
Around ~500-1000 TT auction attempts since July 2004, including a lot of Colonist Standard issues clothes (234) which is both a scam and a bug exploit because they cannot be traded (nor dropped) :wise: :banghead:

agreed!!! This bugs me too.
What’s up with these old polls on the homepage?
It’s like hearing the dead moan out of their graves … and when a necromancer hears that it’s kinda hard to resist the urge turning them into zombies …

Anyway, just wanted to say I’m for “Setting Items to be Watched” and against " Blocking Trade Terminal Items from being Auctioned" … I’m against the blocking because it’s actually quite viable to sell e.g. an Alekz Scope blueprint (which is a TT-item) with a QR of 40 or so in the auction … also some people buy the ES100 scanner with a tt-value of 0 ped for 1 ped because they don’t want to spend the 12 ped for a new one …

Yea I really needs some search functions, like just a box to fill in a text to search for in item name ![]()

I would like to see the posibility to sort by columns. All columns… ![]()
Maybe a scrollbar instead of pages.. ![]()
A buttom for M/F when it comes to cloths and armor… ![]()
If I want to sell iron ingots it would be nice if I set the procent I want instead of ped (whitout pec counting ofcourse) and trowing my calculator in the basket… :wise:
