Are some accounts doomed?

My friend and I registered at PE about a year ago. We do everything together. We hunt together (not always in a team, but mostly at the same mobs etc though).
We do not always hunt at the same time, but basicly what we’ve done has been the same. We first hunted to about 1400 skills handgun, and now we are doing rifle. We both have 501 rifle skills now. We added the same amount of peds too.

However, I have had 1 “hof”, worth 110 ped, 1 global of 50 ped, and a few 20 peds.

My friend has had a 450 ped hof, 2 times 200 ped, a few globals of 50 ped, and several mini’s (20 ped or so).

I kinda feel like my account is just doomed. I know getting a hof is a matter of being lucky, but while we do the same things, our accounts are doing the opposite of eachother reward-wise. It is frustrating and weird.

So I wonder, after playing 1 year (not full time, but about 500 rifle, 1400 handgun, and 700 evade skills (fapping)) is 1 hof and 1 global little and is my friend being lucky?

I would say from your skills you have done OK and your friend has been VERY lucky!!!

If you compare yourself with your friend, you tend to be dissapointed…but if you separate yourself a little bit you may realise that you were pretty lucky and had a great time playing PE…Maybe you shouldn’t do EVERYTHING with your friend…Just split for a while…and you will see things differently…
Another thing that may help you cheer up is that there are people way more lucky than your friend :laugh: …And others luckier than them…etc…
The amount of time you’ve been playing isn’t that important..and if i were to compare you with me…well…YOU’D WIN! :rolleyes: …

i don’t think i had had my first global when i was at that point :slight_smile:
(but now i’m a lucky barsterd, so hang in there :wink: )

After 1 year I had a lot more hofs and globals.
But after 1.5k HG I had a bit less that you’ve had.

To me, your ‘luck’ seems pretty average.

Luck is a strange animal…

I had the day off work on Monday (had some holdiday to use up). So i thought i would spend the day hunting Armax. I got plenty of skills, but ended up losing about 200 ped. Not too bad, although would have prefered to be up by the end of the day :wink:

Most of my soc m8’s started logging on around 18:00 MA time and proceeded to global on Armax. One soc m8 got 2 globals back to back, another soc m8 got a global, then went to eat came back got another Armax global on the first mob he killed. Another got a nice Armax global within minutes of him logging in. Thats 5 globals from Armax within an hour for my soc m8’s, where as i spent all day hunting Armax and not one global.

Luck is a strange animal…

I’ve been playing for almost one year too, I got 3100 longblades, 1000 rifle, 600 shortblades and 400 handgun, and all I got this for is ONE global of about 53 ped. So don’t be too disappointed, there’s always someone else who’s getting even worse loot.

We are all doomed from the moment of birth… Oh wait thats RL lol :scratch: ummm like stated in an earlier post luck is a strange animal. It looks like both you and your friend have had success and as you play you might both be successful at the same time but more than likely one of you will have success and the other not and then it will flip. I see this happening in my soc all the time. Someone has a long bad streak while others just do well all the time. Varying your play might help if hunting sucks mining might work or crafting or do nothing at all until the tide turns. If you are playing smart watching your peds you eventually will hit a good streak. Just have fun some of my most fun memorable moments in PE cost me a couple hundred ped and I don’t regret it. :slight_smile:

Unless your account gets locked and banned you are never really doomed in PE there are revival terminals everywhere. :wink:

got my first global in my 3rd week of playing, was like 93 PED :slight_smile:

I played for a month. Had 1k in rifle before I got my first global… Got 5 globals that week, but 4 of them was in team.. Still stuck a 5 globals… 1.5k rifle and 900 in handgun and LB

I like to think that when i file a support case about a scammer they are flagged to never hof or do well.

My hunting skills average around 2500, with RDA much lower because it was recently unlocked. I’ve never looted anything > 200 peds – maybe because I rarely deposit??? I don’t know if I’m just unlucky, or what. Maybe MA’s just mad at me for making too much profit way back when mining veins were static in location, and only changed with new VUs…

ive been playin for bout a year also, and man, am i proud of my skills, or lack thereof for some, im at 3k in rifle, handgun, laser tech, and blp tech, 1800 in rda, bout the same in aim if i remeber correctly, and about 2400 or so in markmanship.

i didnt get my first global for about 3 months of hardcore playin, doin nothin but hunting, then i bought some tt mining junk, went out, and less than 50 bombs later, had a 140 global for mining.

then after a few weeks, i got a 1.7k argo, and like 2 more small globals that week, then didnt hit again for a few months, too bout a month off cause i was sick of loseing, started up again, and now, if i have the peds to do it, i dont do less than a 50k ammo run, global almost everytime, ofcourse the global size varries a bit, but i got a 1.9k argo a few weeks ago, a 260 argo tonight, and a bunch inbetween on longus, and armax.

im realizing as my skills get higher, i get more globals, but i still get all pissed off when i lose 300 ped in a few hours.

tho i dont think skills affect regular loots at all, regular loots are still down a bit, just the number of times in the last 2 months that i global has increased a bit. but thats with me shooting for all the skills i can get

My account IS doomed I’m sure of it.

And I will be sending a support item regarding it!!

On two different nights I have made a hunting drive in the hope to get globals and skill up.

Night one: I got 2 globals and despite the little fact, I was still over 100ped down!!! In one nights hunting. Thats 10 usd for one night’s hunting.

Night two: Last night, I decided, I can’t have such a bad night again, but you guessed it folks, I got no globals and for my efforts I got a deficit of 130ped. Thats 13 usd to you and me. So over two nights (about 3 nights apart) I’ve effectively blown to the game as a subscription fee 23 usd.

Let me put this into context, I used to play planetside, it was great fun (especially when u dropped in on a base which was gearing up for an attack what a sight!, enough o’ that, back to topic) that used to cost me about 10gbp a month (roughly 17 usd). Thats PER MONTH, not per friggin’ night!

I’m somewhat disenchanted with PE now, I don’t mind if my loot kinda dwindles down a little bit, bit that is just pure daylight robbery.

P.S.

Depositing makes didly squat difference to your loots. In 7 weeks or so I’ve deposited 1890 usd (1111 gbp). How is this fair, I put in significant amounts of cash and I get dealt some of the the ATL loot.
