Ability to convert nanocube to shrapnel

Hello as mu in shrapnel shows shrapnel is always hard to find outside of mayhem… and there is so much of it during mayhem people dont have what to do with it. I beleive this change would help every profession as hunters ld be able to get shrapnel easier from converting it with nanocube… miners the same… crafters also caus they could get shrapnel instead of nanocube if price went up or during mayhems…

Ye nano to shrpa s fine, and maybe oil and robot residue too?

So how would you think MA could do this?

Shrapnel can only be converted into UA right now, so how would they implement such a move? would they add an option when you right click to convert, like Convert to UA Or Convert to Nanocubes?

In my opinion they do not need to do this. We have the recycle TT to get Nanocubes.

As for converting Nanocubes to Shrapnel why? I do not see why that is needed. Just sell them or just click them.

same way we recycle to nanocubes at trade terminal

because the majority of people that need shrapn cant find it… you can see at auction shrapn under 101% dont last a day… have to sell the nanocubes and most just buy ammo from tt… this ld save a lot of trouble to people … would just convert nano to shrapn…

But you can just buy ammo from the TT as you was always able too. Yeah so what you do not get the extra for converting Shrapnel to UA.

So i guess you voted no caus you prefer to lose money since you buy from tt and have less ammo anyway or what is your reasoning?

I convert Shrapnel and times when I can not find any to buy I just buy ammo from the TT. It is not a big deal. It is such a tiny amount extra you get from converting anyway.

I mean who doesn’t like free ammo, not sure sure the all-decay melee users will be they happy though

MA pay for the 1% conversion. It’s highly unlikely they’d be willing to do so for all other resources.

depends how much you cycle… 1% when cycling a lot is not small at all…melee ld still convert shrapn to to nano and sell so no problem with that also…

As you say, 0.5% can be a lot and as nano is always cheaper than shrap, melee users will lose out even more than the already do, hence I’m sure they won’t love the idea.. I don’t mind though

nano price ld move a bit higher and maybe shrapn a bit lower… so that would still be about same for them if not better since now most hunters including myself convert to nano and sell caus i never want to bother with crafting…

Another option, a daily AI npc. They’ve started to do trade in npcs on Setesh.

They should do on Calypso too.
A certain amount of TT of nanocubes can be traded per day with the npc at 101% UA. Maybe have to do some kills first too. Also not unlimited amount per day, maybe 10k ped of nanocube per player. Also chance to get rare loot like other AI daily + daily tokens.

This have a lot of possibilities, for other items too.

There is one on calypso also. That you can trade 100 ped of some oil for 101 ped universal ammo. Which is good for start… 100 ped in ammo is nothing though:P. Adding more ld be nice

Didn’t know that. It’s too small ye. To make a dent I think 10k ped would be ideal but I doubt MA would go for that high.

Ammo is readily available in the TT. You seem to have misunderstood MA’s business model. ?‍♀️

MA could at least add some kind of universal ammo to TT.
It’s very annoying when I use laser and blp ammo and MF ammo for hunting, also probes for mining.
I always endup missing some in the field if I don’t have universal ammo.
And there are many people who use few types of ammo…

Agreed. As a QoL change they should replace SME, BLP and WC with Universal Trade Terminal Ammo (UTTA). That can be traded back to the trade terminal and only be bought from trade terminal.

1% extra is huge when you take into account how many times one converts shrapnel in the course of an avatar’s lifetime

“it’s such a tiny amount it doesn’t matter” → those tiny amounts accumulate crazy fast and you’d be surprised at how much you’ve lost total by simply buying ammo instead of shrapnel
