yet another nooby question...

why doesnt anyone use the reputation system? iv seen people with, literally, 1 post who have as high a rep as someone with 500… peeps with 200 posts wo have higher than a 1k poster… does this strike anyone else as odd?
then again, maybe its just me…

I use it all the time. I think it is just you

:evilking:

I use it all the time too :computer: maybe the person with 1 post had something really goos to say?

lol… k… i rest my case.. and shut my nooby mouth ;p

hehehe don’t be silly, questions like yours are always welcome  because at some point in the future someone may have the exact same question and find your post here… (complete with DD and I’s silly replies  )

Like I said.. reputation is given by others depending on what they think about your post..

For instance, someone with 1,000 posts may have a very low reputation because they talk alot of nonsense (meaning other forum users have given them bad rep)

OR.. someone with 3 posts could have very high reputation because they have made sensible informative posts (meaning other forum users thought the post was the shit and gave them plussies all around :silly2: )

i know lol ;p
its just that those’d hafta be some pretty damned good threads lol… now wouldnt they…

just to prove your points i repped both of you

edit make that all three of you… lol…

keep in mind too that when you negatively rep some1, of course it takes rep away from them. So some1 with many posts but a poor rep has been negatively repped many times in comparison to positive rep

As for why some ppl use it and some do not… no idea. Some ppl use it OFTEN  Some use it ocassionally or when they see fit. Some ppl give negative out regularly, others never give negative… it’s all about the individual… but we’re all subjected to the same rep system, so it’s fair
