[I]King “Buzz” Buzzo Missing, Found Dead
After several days of searches through the Eudorian wilderness the body of the infamous King “Buzz” Buzzo was discovered at the base of a large mountain south of Hadesheim. It was not immediately known whether it was foul play or, as authorities have suggested, a suicide.
Family and friends reported Mr. Buzzo missing one week ago after he did not return from one of his frequent hunting trips. After several small scale search attempts into the hazardous area, authorities were notified that a miner had found a body near the base of a large mountain. Although the investigation is still open, authorities have hinted that Mr. Buzzo may have leapt from the top of the mountain to his death.
King “Buzz” Buzzo came to Calypso from North America on Planet Earth in February of 2003. He enjoyed his time on Calypso spending much of it hunting and carousing with Society mates. Sources tell us that this all changed in recent weeks. Mr. Buzzo was known to have sold most of his belongings as well as all of his skills he had acquired while on Calypso. “I just thought he was upgrading armor or weaponry”, one close friend said, “We never expected this.”
Reports from close allies say in recent days Mr. Buzzo had spoken about climbing the highest peak on Calypso. He had frequently entertained the idea and had even spoken about leaving a hidden treasure on the highest peak. Speculation is that Mr. Buzzo may have set out on this adventure as a final act of kindness before plunging to his final resting place.
“Conditions atop the peak have been too severe to confirm the existence of a treasure atop the mountain”, local search and rescue Tonro Xaoh stated. He added “we do not recommend the general public seek out the treasure as they may meet the same fate as Mr. Buzzo. It is far too dangerous to attempt the ascent at this time.”
Rumors have also been circulating about Mr. Buzzo’s research into Genetic Transformation and the possibilities of “shedding your shell” as he called it, to take on a new appearance. One noted colleague and fellow researcher in the Genetic Transformation area, speaking on conditions of anonymity, said he was aware of King Buzzo’s desire for a breakthrough in the field but was unwilling to speculate further.
Whatever his fate, after two years on Calypso, King “Buzz” Buzzo is gone. He lives on through the spirit of all new explorers and surely, wishes all of those who knew him, a happy and safe adventure.
