i have all the basic blueprints from the technicians where you start, but i’d like some others.. where do you get them from.. i’ve looked in most of the shops at the towns on the left side of the map ( havent been to the right side yet.. only been playing a week. ), but they all just sell the basic ones..
do you only get better BP’s when your skill is higher.. or do you have to get them from auctions?
is there some secret trader on top of the volcano selling blueprints or something..?
Blueprints come from two sources (other then the technician):
The manufacturing process, when you attempt to make something there is a chance that a blueprint will also be generated. This chance is low, and typically you get them when you succeed - so the higher your chance of success, the more blueprints you should get.
Blueprints are only generated of the same type, so if you make mech components you will get mech component prints - not metal, not elec, not weapons, etc.
Purchase them from players.
Auction is one place, player run shops are another (though I have hardly even seen them stocked, and am experimenting with stocking them at mansion soon).
If you want component prints a LOT of players have stacks of duplicates of mech, and sometimes metal and elec from skilling so they aren’t worth much (not to mention can’t actually be used to make anything).
Weapons, armour and so on are worth somewhat more
Maybe tell us specifically what types of prints you are after, or post a thread in the trading forum?
Best way to get bps,if you got some peds is to do crafting runs of 300 to 500clicks at once. I tend to get more bps per craft ratio doing that than only doing 10 at a time
If you can avoid it, do not buy BP’s. Craft a minimal of 1k clicks at a time. And try to loot all the BP’s you need. This way you get the skills needed to use the higher BPs also :wise:
Yes manufacturing is the better way to get lots of blueprints
However for some, particularly those of a higher level, it can be cheaper to just buy the print instead of hoping one pops up during construction.
For example I was calculating what it would cost to generate level 7-10 component prints, and then I did a little test run, and then I simply went out and bought them all up since I’d save over 1k PED, if not more
For 1k PED I can do a LOT of skilling runs.
