I just put some money in the game and am about to go mining. Before I go wasting bombs, where is ore not found or never spawns? ie, where does everyone know that can’t be mined?

Never mine on Memory Island, apsolutely no deposits there.

But if you wish to find good deposits, then find a area where strong mobs are roming, there you have better chance that someone havent overmine before you :wise:

this is true but for a new player i wouldnt recomend it lol
my tip is stay far away from any town or outpost people are usualy lazy and mine most close to towns
On Amethera stay within the blue squares. Most of the land not within the Land Grab areas have nothing to mine. This is not to say they all have nothing, as I’ve found a few deposits, but they’re usually few and far between.
I used to mine a lot and found a few empty areas, like the NW part of Ithaca for example.
But who knows, things might have changed in the last VU’s. :dunno:
Dont mine where you have to kill many mobs,in that way you have to cover decay,ammo,bombs,…And same thing as anything else…
Without skills i would sugest you to go s-e of ithaca,many skills there,and lyst:)
Ps ,there is a map where you can find lyst,try that before you explore on your self… :wise:
Run and bomb. You will soon find out where, how and when. No1 else can make you mine “the right way” for there is none. You have to find out the best way for you. I used to plant bombs at places where there were not very much mobs, as close to water as possible and as far from civilization as possible, and where i simply had the feeling in my guts.

Maybe because I was mining there before you.
Let your spirit roam free! It is less about the zone as it is about the player…that’s size related (and ped)…Areas usually give the type of resource…If you are a starting miner (that’s what I got from what you posted) I would suggest in the vecinity of towns/outposts…it worked that way for me when I started…anyways, you will soon find some fields “of your own” and you’ll know where to go to find some;)

Try not to mine near to other people obviously mining themselves , go and have a chat instead. If you do this you are lowering your chances of finding something.
I always ask if the other person has mined in the direction im heading as that area could have been mined out.

Sorry I have to disagree I have found BOTH of my Amethera globals outside the LA’s

I have found Considerable, Ample and Sizeale outside the Blue areas AND near TP .. so i think is just more luck/skills/tools…
