Just wondering…I see people killing the same stuff I do, but getting globals while I get 2 PEDs (if I am SUPER lucky).
What skill level should you start to see globals?
It’s all pretty random. Some people global their first day, others go years without seeing a thing. I was ingame for several months (probably 5-6) when I got my first in a team with my mentor. That was over a year ago. 
I’ve had at least five others since then.

Yep, this really is true. It also pertains to the amount of time you spend hunting. Sometimes, people complain about ubers always hoffing, but if you think about it - they’re out there for many, many hours a day pouring thousands of ped into the loot pool. They are the most likely to global due to their process of killing lots, and killing fast. Most of the time, globals are pretty out of the blue; but I’ve noticed that loots are at least decent when I get a global or a hof. Don’t give up yet though, bud, it took me around 5-6 months to get my first, and I just recently (after 11 months of playing) got my first really nice hof GL, and HF!

I’ve personally watched a pot until it boiled, and I didnt blink once (was tough). But, thats besides the point yeah, you dont “expect” your first global, it just sort of sneaks up on you. Unless you say “HoF!” before every kill. Then you and up disappointed 99.999% of the time and .001% you are like HELL YEAH I SO CALLED THAT!!!
Oddly enough, there was one time that I said “Come on baby show me some gold” right before killing an argo, and it then proceded to give me a 94 ped global (I wasn’t saying that every kill, believe it or not)… That was pretty cool

That’s right. I have started with two HoFs before getting my first global. Both HoFs were after 4-5 months playing, one day after the other.

I got my first global quite early, but realised that the playstyle needed
for hoffing and my skills and bank account did not match.
So the next globals were only accidental…
Receipt for hofs is this: just load up 100 peds ammo and hunt and hunt.
You may need to come back few times and repair and get another 100
peds ammo, but very soon you get global at least. Make sure that you
can burn ammo fast enough though, with Mann it may be too slow.
I got my first global maybe 3 weeks after I started playing, skilling my crafting. Another crafting came the day after (didn’t get a pic of that one, too tired), and yesterday I got my first hunting global. So, 3 globals in a couple of weeks, which I am pretty much satisfied with.
There was this guy manufacturing something yesterday.. he got global, global, HoF, HoF (no kidding, two in a row), global, global e.t.c. I really want to become that good some day, too! 
goes back to manufacturing damper lvl 3 and sometimes jumps on some lvl 5 item to remember what skill gaining feels like.
Some newbies globals the first day they enter the game and on their first trip of hunting/mining - and I’we known depositing people playing for several months without. Therefore I guess, the theory about if the ability to global and hof is depending on depositing, doesnt hold water (I should have globaled and hofed a LOT more then :rolleyes: ).
So dont expect anything :wise: - just play the game, have fun and be happy
Globaling is very very random i have only ever had about 3 in the year that ive played this game. As for the people u see getting lots of globals well they are either just lucky, or they are people like starman who spend lots of time and money hunting. PE is much like a fruit machine, the machine wants you to put lots of money in to so i dosnt go empty when it finnaly pays out. Basical the more money u spend on hunting the more likely you are to global. dont walk round expecting a global coz it never ever works, my last global happened when i wasnt thinking about it (i guess you really dont when you are in pvp2 with troxes and molisks rampaging through the rig)

It’s mostly luck.
But the more peds you spend, the more ‘lottery tickets’ you get, which gives you more chances to get lucky.
I disciple of mine got an uber on his 2nd week in the game! Since then (2 months now) he have had 3-4 hofs/globals. Very lucky guy.
I have been playing for about 2 weeks, and have had 3 globals and 1 HoF. 2 of those globals and the HoF where immediatly after the VU was completed. But, i have also deposited ~$100 USD. So… I didn’t really expect the globals, but, at the same time… Anyway, they will come with time, and money.

Umm, yes. Raw materials for some items cost so much, that globaling may be
needed to break even. So hofs are not pure free money for skilled crafters.
I guess real steady profit comes from items which can be sold by big tt+xxx%.

Yeah i need to see a global very soon because im always poor seeing i cant deposit (i would if i could) ive been playing 4 about a month now hunting the exosaurs SE of PA and i havent seend one yet i got 10 peds in the hole last week on ammo and repairs
still wating for that global 
I had my first global (over 200 PED) in my first week and had two ro three more before my fist deposit. Haven’t had a global after the deposit tho.
my stats 11-28-05, played since november 2003, HoF’s: 3 Globals: 30
hunt 24/7, almost 
so yes figures could be better, good luck
