this is important to some ppl. knowing which side of a proverbial fence youre on is never as important as knowing where the fence is to begin with.
what do you consider mid level equipment?
what do you consider mid level skills?
answer those 2 q’s in your post, without any other drama, and lets see if we can arrive at a consensus. keep it clean, no bickering, lets keep the bullshit to a minimum =D
Equipment:
Armors: anything that cost less than 150-200 ped per piece low level
above 200 but below 1000 ped per piece mid level
anyhting above 1000 ped per peice high/uber level
Weapons: anyhting that does less than 40 max damage unalatered (IE: an amp) low level anyhting above 40 mid level
Anything that is adjusted/improved/modified hugh/uber
Fap: anything that cost less than 150 ped to procure to useful ness (including price+ repair) low.. above 150 mid level. adj/imp/mod is high/uber
Skills: prostanding of adept or less = low level
Prostanding of capable to expert mid expert and above high/uber
this is prostanding in combat areas and first aid areas only.
Also considered is attitude, reputation and behavior.
after all you can have modified everything with a set each of all the nice armor and 10k skills and still be a noob if you act like one.
Based on what equipment i have, the skills i have and the things i can kill.
I consider myself in the upper-level noob stage. There is some things i can kill but would almost kick my arse so i prefer not to deal with them yet. (like atrox provider, i can just about out fap it and get a couple of shots in here and there) I havnt even past my descipleship yet, though i could easily do so if i spent a good long hunt using one of three weapons pistol, rifle or LB.
(it likely will be another 6-12 months before i do as i want to get barely graduating in all combat skills first:) like 1875 each in LB, SB, HG, PF, and 1975 in rifle. Then in one big hunt get 2000 in each. then its off to get 2000 in club and whip before i raise any more combat skills much more.
Drone1-2 == Noob
Warrior Gen 1/2/3/4/5 == Average
2nd Entity Gen 1 == Uber
Atrox Young/Mature/Old == Noob
Atrox Provider/Guardian/Dominant == Mid Level
Atrox Alpha/Old Alpha/Prowler/Stalker == Uber
3 Atrox Old Alphas for Evade Skilling.. then killing them off afterwards == Daredevil.
This is not a once off kill. We’re talking being able to kill a ton of these on a regular basis.
Also, my opinion on this has changed as I have got better equipment etc.
When I was a noob running around in orange clothes with my Mk1 Punisher… I thought anyone who could kill an Atrax or Longu Mature was Uber…Sure I had killed a few Atrox Alphas/Old Alphas by climbing on bunkers… but that was a very tense time for me…
Later on I thought someone who could kill an Atrox Guardian was Mid level, and I went out of my way practising with decoys in order to be able to do it with my EP40 and A102.
Then MA changed all the mobs… An Atrox Provider now does the same damage that an Atrox Guardian used to do… so I dunno anymore…

This could be, but, I can take a Armax dom alone, and I DO NOT see myself as uber, although all the other examples seem properly guaged… Nice example, REP to ya!!!
Like I said.. its not all about Equipment and Avatar Skills (which includes HP). You could get a noob playing with Starman’s avatar and he’d get pwned by a Berycled Guardian or something…
As for the Armax…I’ve had a bad experience with a Cow Dom (this did include a ton of lag though).
Hmmm… ineteresting question. I would say i am mid level. But i as well can take certain things. I took a neconu provider solo the other night with a decent fap and mini sweeper (which isnt the highest hitting wep in the game), then came across a mature that killed me.
It depends on your luck i guess. People say this game is skill based. which i agree with to a degree. But if it was purely skills that provider should have kicked my ass and the mature would be realistic.
I would say i am in the top 60% of people, skills close to mud kicker i guess… but in the scheme of things.. the uber are 9000+ skills and we are in the 4000s… midlevel.
I killed a Warrior 1 without any armour… JUST using EP45… Without it hitting me even once. And yes.. there was a ton of luck, because it missed me about 4 times.
Another pointer on luck…
My bro (Folcan), Da and myself were out hunting Neconu… Well Da was hunting them, and we were just giving supporting fire I guess…2x EP40’s.
Neconu turns on my bro… I was sitting at my pc next to him so I saw his skill gains as the Neconu Provider missed him 9 times!.. so yeah… with luck, I could kill a Spider with a Mann MHP, providing it missed me enough times…
(NOT TRAPPING)
under 8-9 k in skill and 200 hp its mid level.
for stuff its same
under imp fap , imk2 , MM …MOD or IMP stuf , and the very good.
for armor consider shad , eon , chronicle , sent
other are mid lvl
mid lvl is under uber , and uber must be only som people on the top , with the top stuff.
I guess it would look something like this.
What Percentage of each players… I would say this is just the regular players…(If we included ALL accounts, then it would be 90% Noob)
/me wonders if he counts as mid-level by anyone ELSES definitions… :rolleyes:
i categorize people by activity, ingame experience, and personality more than everything else…
skillwise, yeah, someone can be uber, but if they actlike a bloody n00b, i call them that. if they want to pk me to prove their [ego?] size, so be it.
there are mid-level and uber n00bs just the same way that there are not only teenage punks, but midle-aged punks, and american punks.
same goes for equipment… i know more than a few people whove played less than six months and have ‘uber’ gear… angel/shadow, imp fap,adj weapons, etc…
and there are people who have played a long time, but utilize PEs social adversity more than its systematic (skill system) adversity. the ones whod, say, rather chat with someone than hunt with, or pk them. if theyve played a long enough time, and sell their skills, and dont deposit, theres no reason to NOT consider them ‘mid-level’ to me…
so… i guess i dont think PE revolves so much around skills O.o
but i know 95% of everyone here would disagree
