What would happen if... (about sweat)

…there are not enouth noobs to supply sweat anymore?

I think MA needs to think about this, because it is starting to happen one day at a time…

yep, about a month ago sweat cost under 3pec/bottle, now it’s rocketed up to, in some cases 3.7 per bottle so yeah i think this is hapening

When i was new, maybe a couple years ago, i don’t remember, sweat was at about 1.5-2.0 per bottle. Then i took a break from PE. When i came back some months later, the price was 0.8-1.0. Then i took a break again. :stuck_out_tongue: A while ago i started playing again, and i was so surprised to see sweat worth so much.

Maybe it’s just that we can’t sweat trapped mobs nowadays…

About half a year ago it was like 2pec/bottle. Remember even 1pec a bottle. :wise:

But is it true there are less sweaters, or is it just harder and more time consuming then it was??? (im not an expert on the sweat market).

If so, what would the impact be? Mindforce would become to expensive to use. Prices of chips would drop as nobody has use for them anymore. Maybe the whole Mindforce buisness would just cease to be. :frowning:

If there aren’t less sweaters this could be the case:

As it’s becoming harder for n00bs to sweat and they put more time in this (imo boring) activity the prices will rise. In the past TP traps made it easy. The prices dropped at that moment.

Also don’t forget the ‘bungholes’ (politest word i could think of) that keep killing the mobs sweaters (and others) use. Doesn’t help either.

If you need it badly, and don’t appreciate what the noobs to, the time they take, or don’t think it’s worth it, you (anyone reading not snipe in specific) the could always sweat the sweat you need yourself, if your not locked yet. :dunce:

Thank someone that there are no unions in the game, and it’s almost impossible to get everyone organised. Otherwise before you knew it noobs would be on strike and stop selling sweat unless we paid enough. Same goes for other trades. :wise:

Iv personaly got to lvl 11 or somthing till it said i was too close to the world to sweat or somthing :silly2: but what i hear from noobs iv asked,it is very boring to sweat, they want to run around shooting or axe’ing thing, and do ya blame them?.. maybe if MA added an item or peds/pecs every now and then it would make them think “heys maybe this next one will have peds or pixie gloves” etc then they would still sweat for longer …just an idea :stuck_out_tongue:

It has been said before here but:

Instead of no item loots we should get a few bottles of sweat.

It has been said b4 indeed, but no1 has ever clarified how that might impact the newbie sweating (which the entire purpose of the introduction of sweating was to help newbies get a start in a small way and help crafters at the same time). Also, if we were to loot sweat, would that impact our sweating skills?

Sweat prices have gone up because its harder to sweat. The sweat farms have dried up because if you do manage to trap a mob it gets aggro’ed and runs off somewhere else or just untraps itself and climbs up that steep wall to smack you.

Its almost become…

Sweat → fail → die → res → wait for HP → sweat → fail → die → res etc etc

So its not only boring, but takes ages and very frustrating. Since the loot is worth 0ped you could have 10billion sweat and it wouldn’t cost MA a thing!

Or better yet, the ability to sweat corpses. That would only help noobs. We would still have the same sweat skill caps but a MFer (MindForcer you dirty minded people) could hire n00bs who haven’t passed the sweat limit to come on hunts with them. This would greatly benefit the n00bs both financially as well as experience wise.

I never heard of this one. I like the idea. But how much sweat can someone produce in one hour. Would the wages way up to selling the sweat on the open market??

Interesting… has anyone every seen what happens to sweat in a team?

Gets divided up I think, it would explain why when I was sweating people would constantly ask everyone to team up with them and they’d never sweat themsleves.

so the deal then was that the sweat was devided equally?

Sounds like it. I have never done this myself. Also, its the first time i hear about this being done!

Maby MA can make a tool or something to get sweat if you are at your maximum. Maby even let you unlock a skill to be able to gain the ability to get sweat again?

sweat problem

Well I think that there are several reasons why sweat has become that expensive

  1. They can’t trap anymore
  2. Noobrush is over, so less people who want to sweat
  3. Sweating is mindkilling and boring
  4. Sweatcap ( OK, MA needs its income but if you don’t use ME => less decay on those chips etc )
  5. Sweating is a hostile action ( like those animals need that sweat .. )

Solutions ?

Loot sweat if you have a no loot ( 2 - 3 bottles )
Trapping allowed just to sweat animals
NO SWEATcap ( can’t imagine that people always wanna sweat if they don’t deposit )

Good ideas peanut!

I looged on just after the ‘sweat makes me angry’ update. I was near the sweat farm south of Camp Pheonix, I watched as the place rapidily emptied because people couldn’t ‘auto click’ for sweat, they couldn’t just hang around and sweat they had to actually work for the sweat and suddenly it became too much trouble…

Perhaps some of them decided to deposit, perhaps not. We will know if it turns out to be a bad idea if/when they put it back to how it was before.

yes, there should be a sweat cap, just at a higher level. f.ex. lvl 250
would make more sweat avaible and still control over the amount

All that i hope is that they do something soon.

Sweat is my main income! (yes, i have maxed my sweat skill at 112. I now have to buy and sell)

Alot of good ideas and i agree with pretty much all

Sweating should not agro a mob (if the AI for that mob means it agros anyone that gets too close (like atrox/atrax) that is fine. It leaves it up to the sweater to learn wich mob is best for sweating (like exarosaur)
Trapping should be allowed for sweating and so long as the mob is not hit by a weapon it stays alive and can be sweated till it dries.
If the mob is hit by a weapon it gives the trapped message and starts the death timer (perhaps also have it so the death timer also starts when its dry)
The mob should still be eligable to be pulled into a trap by weaponsfire though, but once trapped no more shots can be fired.
This would allow sweaters only to trap but not allow trapping to be a hunting tactic

Another idea would be to make sweating the only MF skill that you dont lose your concentration while being hit, perhaps make it so you get more higher concentration skill gains from being hit while sweating especially if your successful. the harder the mob the more conentration you get when you succeed
Wich in theary would make it possable to get ncie conentration skills by sweating an atrox alpha, if you live long enough that is.
The other ideas when this topic was discussed in the past would be nice too (like sweat in place of “no-loot”
