Hello, I have quite a few questions about weapons. I hope you don’t mind if I just ask them all here instead of searching each question individually. Thx
Now, to give you a bit of info, I have 1.84 PED, and am considering getting a weapon (unless theres something else I MUST have first?)
On average, how much is upkeep for a basic gun? (Including ammunition and durability repairs)
How much is the upkeep for a basic knife? (Repairing its durability)
How much is the cheapest gun? Cheapest knife?
Realistically, how much pec/ped do I need to start being a hunter? I am very interested in actually killing things instead of draining their sweat.
Would the basic gun/knife I’d be getting do enough damage to actually kill a ‘noob’ creature? (Ostrich thing, fugarbarba, w/e)
Is being a hunter an entertaining profession, or is PE’s combat frustrating and ungainly/too dependant on luck?
Is sweat the best way to go for cash early game? I’ve also heard that you can get oil, fruit or dung, but no one has mentioned how. (It’s relevant because I’m intending to use the cash I get from these endeavors to buy a weapon)
On average, how much of a chunk would a n00b knife or n00b gun do to the lizard ostrich or fugabarba? I don’t want numbers unless you can provide me with the ostrich/fuga’s hp number as well.
Thank you for answering my questions, I appreciate it.

Here’s a n00bs reply to some of your questions, from what I’ve experienced so far. (I just bought my first gun yesterday):
Too much! Hehe.. One shot with the Opalo costs you 2 pec and you need some 6-7 shots minimum to down a n00b animal. And these animals has so far yielded from 2 pec to 65 pec. Add to this that about only one of five animal actually has loot I’m loosing money on the ammo. :dunce:
Dunno, but the Opalo is 3.80 from the TT I think.
Yeah, you can down a few of them. Those Fugabarba only run away tho, and they’re FAST!!
