This is to warn people who use a credit card to load money into the Paynova system for paying for PE or any other item using Paynova.
Your credit card company (at least mine here in the UK) will now charge you an EXTRA cash advance fee for using this service. In my case this is an extra 2gb pounds on top of all the other fees.
This has only recently changed and as far as I know no information about this change has been given.
This fee now is going to be charged on a lot of these payment systems according to the customer service dept of my CC company, so everyone please carefully check your statements from now on.

Just had a reply to an e-mail I sent to Paynova over this.
It would appear even Paynova had no idea of the charge being applied and they are a lil pissed to say the least.
The charge is being applied by mastercard (and probably visa), as payments to Paynova and gods knows how many other systems like this are classed as wire money transfers which is the same (according to my cc company) as going to an atm and taking the money out Confused , or they are classing Paynova as an on-line gambling company Exclamation
It seems Mastercard at least have modified their terms and conditions for 3rd party businesses without actually telling the businesses concerned.
now THAT is interesting. continuation on stuff like that may well lead to some uproar in the upper eschelons of the credit corporations…

Iam also in the UK and currently without a credit card. I use splash plastic through Pay by cash. You pre pay the card with cash and transfer the money to MA useing pay by cash, it only take aroun 1- 2 hours to get through. The fee is 4 usd witch depending on the size of your deposit could work out cheaper or more exspensive

Yes I use them as well.
Been very reliable for me, thought the fee seems to be more on a sliding scale the amount i normally use it’s a $3 fee but once with a bigger deposit it went uo to $4 and I beleive its goes higher, though I doubt I;ll ever have cause to find out. One thing I will say is that a direct transfer into your Spalsh Plastic card from your bank will take a LOT longer than going to the local shop with cash, and it seems to be the bank slowing the transfer down not Splash Plastic.

well, of course. splash plastic is nowhere NEAR as profitable to the credit companies as is a regular credit card, and if they suffer profits from that, its alot of pressure on the banks to quit using them entirely… for one thing, credit companies, to a huge extent, use banks in their finances… and thus, of course one helluvalot of the bank’s investments are tied up in the credit companies…
LOL… That reminds me, same company, oh yeah and there I was depositing a nifty portion of cash; oh we’re sorry, did you need that in U$?
Oh well we haven’t really gotten that far yet, maybe in the future we’ll have a system that allows you to exchange your money from one currency to another.
