I was wondering, what do you people use for vocal communication? Is skype the choice, or ventrilo?
Myself I fancy Skype, but haven’t used it for ingame use yet. Skype has a very good usage in Linux, and I have an own computer for Skype, as it may hog some ressources, and those are dedicated for PE
If anyone is interested, you may add me with the skype-name zhivam or callto://zhivam

Well, for personal use, i use skype. Since a lot of my relatives are in the U.S. But, my soc mate, K-Rock runs a team speak server.
Just as side note: Shadow-Ale, did you know theirs a company that made a side-program to run with Skype for Webcams? It works really well to!

Yeah, but doesn’t support linux yet. And I doubt it ever will, as webcams and linux is hard to get to work, as there’s only a couple of supported chips (ov511 being one). But if it comes, I’m quitting msn for good
ACK! You beat me to this topic! I just posted in my soc. forum about using a voice communication system for in-game stuff. I had suggested Skype, but you can only group chat with up to 4 people. TS, apparently, you can do more.
I do have Skype on my comp. Name is OnaLaFleur if anyone wants to add me. I just installed it yesterday, so I don’t have any contacts yet.
I’ll probably download TS or Ventrillo also though, since those are more group friendly. However, I thought I heard that Ventrillo needs someone with a server or something to host it? Dunno.
I had a look at teamspeak, and has decided not to use it ever. Their top news article is something I regard as utterly BS. Going after pirates who actually does a lot of commercial for them is far beyound my comprehension.
Yes, I am a pirate, but I pay for what I use when the time calls for it.
