At least as someone who helps out with LBML, just having a heads up like this about font changes helps rather than finding out the day of.
@Ludvig_MindArk any chance of some teasers of the new interface, you guys can get some feedback before the release on 8th september.
Iām particularly interested in the new chat interface.
Iām hoping it still has opacity options and autofade and still has color options for different channels.
How often does the fly in the soup need to be mentioned? Cry runs on a lappy with 4(four) GB of ram in safe, plus some settings on low. This is NOT something I believe we can see in UE5, not matter how things get better further up the specs!
(Maybe new areas donāt run with 4GB on lappys. For a while there have been issues in certain places such as the quarry on Ark, bits of Howling Mine etc., and maybe constantly on Aris, which I havenāt tested. Setesh was also pitiful and I had to be rescued!)
I think people on 8 or even 16GB could be in for a rough ride until Xmas, and in a weekās time 4 GB might be over (or black-screened) for everā¦!
Considering how crafting and hof windows are affecting my computer, making chat windows the same may just make it unplayable. We will see.
CE2 ran on high and very high settings on a laptop with 8gb ram until they started adding the chromium BS.
It is possible requirements will be a bit higher but they will drop again once UE5 client is here. We are not talking 128gb of ram for high settings like RJ proposed.
I used to run on 8 GB for a long time, that has been made impossible since they started implementing Chromium (black screens), upgraded to 16 GB but even that doesnāt work for me, just canāt play. And MindArk doesnāt care, they implemented some fixes (that didnāt fix all) and thats it.
And maybe Chromium under CryEngine doesnāt work that well, thats just an excuse for a decision MindArk made.
It makes me wonder
Entropia Universe is a expensive game and most some people have cheap laptops or desktops with old hardware unless your a sweater or bait fisher then I could understand this but if you buy the toys in Entropia with real money than sure people would have the funds to buy new computer hardware.
Instead of putting $200 for ammo one could save that for new computer hardware.
People can burn $2.000 dollars a week and have expensive things in game and they canāt afford to buy a new desktop or laptop.
Entropia is a real cash economy game thatās why I donāt understand why people have old hardware.
I mean Iām poor in real life donāt have a job retired and still I have I have RTX geforce 5070 and and an 11th gen i7 processor with 32 gig ram my computer is now getting old with the processor but can upgrade the GPU
Can that auction container be used to sell for example a set of plates?
Would it also be possible to sell a collection of materials used in an armor part upgrade, for example a armor part from normal to adjusted. Put all the materials needed in a container and sell it as that.
That is a really bad argument.
I donāt mind paying for ammo. But, Iām sure as shit not gonna buy expensive components because MA hired people who didnāt even finish their bachelorās degree
This is because they run EU with a macro on a cheap backup laptop while browsing the internet on their main computer ![]()
Has nothing to do with not being able to afford it, i choose not to do that at this moment as i want to see where MindArk is heading with Entropia Universe in the future. Apart from the upgrades on UI and graphics they lack long term vision on the core systems of the game.
This is the only game i play on laptop, so donāt feel like upgrading when the future of this game is this uncertain.
Not to mention whatever inefficient code puked out by gptās that doesnāt get reviewed
Your 16gb should be enough. I ran on low for the longest time on 8gb and just last week upgraded to 24gb. My ram usage never peaks now on high settings while running stuff like obs in the background, next bottleneck is VRAM.
Check if memory is healthy or if there is something else you can do? Cleaning my fans helped a lot when it ran shitty because it got overheated quickly.
Why should we have to pay to sell a set of items ?!
Looks like some really good changes are coming. Adding new options and warnings to the auction is a nice touch as well.
Will it be possible to re-enter the character creator several times like the last time that this was done? And how long will it be available for?
