Ok, a few friends and I started playing Entropia 2 days ago. A old friend has been playing here for almost a year now and got us to come check it out. As soon as we enter and start playing with the controls, I notice that they are running past me.
Now, I’m not a noob to games in general, nor am I technically stupid. I’ve held down “Q”, held down both mouse buttons, pressed the button I added to my qBar and double clicked on ground ahead. The consensus of all of the people I have played with in the 2 days is that I start to run then continue walking. Now, you may be thinking “Big Deal” or “What a noob”… Bah to that. I have a legitement problem here and would like to find a resolution. This is really ruining the game for me
Let me just tell you how long it took to walk from Atlantis to Fort Troy then to Twin Peaks…
I did, however, by the time it was responded to we had run to Twin Peaks. Which, as you can imagine ended up with alot of wool and hides. And it was pushed off that I was carrying too much gear. Now, I’m logged in right now with almost no gear and still can’t run. This is really starting to suck.
I’m wondering if it could be a restriction or problem with packet size from my ISP?

Yup this came to mind for me. ALthough he is brand new, but perhaps his friends started him out with a lot of goodies  If you’re weight colour is yellow, then you will walk not run

acctually if your weightcolor is yellow you will run slowly if you weightcolor is red you would walk
But yea, alot of smallstuff can make you heavy.. like molisk teeth, wool, hides, foul bones and ores tend to make you heavy..
Green @ 24.6 now. I’ve gotten it to 0.0 and had the same problem. So it’s not a matter of my gear and/or inventory. I’m thinking there is a problem with the networking itself.

Your not lagging either? Hmm seem strange. Definitly should send support!
Edit: your friends dont happen to be much better skilled then you and more agility? that means they run faster then you… and its quite noticeable.
My avatar looks to me to be running, but just can’t keep up. My team says I’m walking. We all started at the same time, except for one. And the guys that have only player a couple hours are moving faster than me
Ok, so here is what I’ve done today. I installed PE on my wifes PC (950MHZ, 32MB VC) and was able to run. Since my NIC card for my PC is onboard, I decided to toss in a PCI Nic just out of curiousity. No change there.
So now I’m uninstalling Norton and all its bullcrap…
Before you ask, My PC is a AMD AthlonXP 3200+ with 2 GB of ram and a MSI GF4 FX 5900XT. More than enough to pass the sys req’s
