I wouldn’t want to be in an American only Soc!

And calling it the United States Army is poopy! Some Members of the real United States Army are living in hell right now and away from their families while their “Bosses” that sent them to hell are safe in America.

Sorry if this is too gung-ho but please do not dishonor them in this way.

I have to agree with Digit

I have to agree with digit. The army is no game and calling a gaming soc US Army I find rather disrespectful.
The idea of an all american soc i have no problem with tho. It ensures a thing that can be a struggle in mixed socs… The people (genereally) will be awake and online at the same times..

Edit: I have been in the army myself (not US) and I would find it quite offensive if someone used my unit/mission names for a society name. Especially if they havent been in that unit themselves.

Soc only for americans or swedes or russians… thats ok, ppl from same country joining together. But US army…i have been in army( not US) and i dont like what ppl use real country army names in their soc. I have feeling, what October have seen army only in tv and movies. Naming soc an US Army is so disrespectful behavior against real soldiers.

Sry, my english

We in the Snablesnot Sweating Army {SSA} which you the best of luck with this. Our only loyalty is though towards the snablesnot. Nations have proven to be hazardous to fight for, which has never been the case with the snablesnot. And good luck in the money making machine

Yep, my little bro is in the navy and using names like this are not very appealing at all, but i don’t expect non-americans to feel that way, though they may.

 funny

I am American and think that the name of the soc should be something other than US Army because of the simple fact of respecting the people that protect you.

Also i know that alot of other country’s don’t like our army. I agree we do stick our noses in other peoples business when we maybe shouldn’t but doing to much is better than doing nothing at all.

There are MANY societies out there that are swedes only, polish only, german only, etc. I am creating the first American Only Soc.

As a reply to Tigerman, U.S. Army is much more generalized than any Unit/Mission names.

And as to this respect issue some of you are pointing out, I am joining the Army this month, and the true basis of this Soc is for my fellow comrades I will be getting to play this game. If, once I am in the military, and my pride goes through the roof, and I totally disagree with the naming of this soc, I will change it.

Oh Thats easy! Eight! Two on each corner!..

It almosts makes me want to make my own american soc… but I don’t play enough right now… and I’m lazy.

Theres nothing wrong with an American soc, but if the soc is going to be named the American Army, all of its memebers should be in the army.

USA is only a part of America. Therefore the soc also should include ppl from outside of “The United States of America”

Also United States can be misunderstood for “Estados Unidos Mexicanos”

Remember that The United States of America once robbed parts of México.
Both what is today “California” and “New México” still belongs to México.

Sorry for my bad English.

Anyway, I give you +rep for starting a soc.

/Kjetil

BTW tigerman, US Army has made a video game, if im not mistaken its called America’s Army.

Changed name to America’s Might.

umm… no… California and New Mexico were given to the US to stop the Mexican war. Which was started because Texas didn’t want to be part of Mexico anymore… Texas btw was given from the US to the Spanish owned Mexico in trade for Florida.
