I’m thinking of getting a Lasser tp chip for getting out of sticky situations or (as could have been very usefull last night) getting back into them! What advice can you give and how do they work, do I type in the coords I want to det to or is it more of a point in the general direction and hope?

You use Mind Essence to operate the TP chip. You need to insert an implant. Equipment for this is available in TT. The TP chip you can find in the market. Same with Mind Essence.
When you click to perform the action, you will get up a map with some light around where you can “jump” with your TP-chip. Depend of skills, you will reach the point where you click on the map.

The more skilled you are, the easier it is to end up where you want to go. You do it by starting to concentrate (5 seconds or so. Never timed it). If you get hit, you have to start over again.
When you finish, you “click”, and the map will pop up with a little bright circle indicating the range of your chip. You select a spot anywhere inside that circle, and you’ll find yourself tp’ing.
It WILL take a few seconds inbetween though. There’s a delay period when you tp out, a white flash in the screen, and a delay period when you tp in. You CAN be hit during those. I died while TPing out, I got insta-killed when TP-ing in.
I mostly use it because I’m too lazy to walk, when I find myself overweight with materials, or to quickly get back to a MOB that killed me before I could kill it. (Tip: Press ‘P’ when you die, write down the coords. Makes it tons easier to find the mob again).

I recently bought a lesser tp chip, and I must say it’s very handy and gets you places very quickly. But the range of the lesser chip aren’t that great, so you’d have to make quite a few “jumps” if you want to i.e. teleport between TP’s etc.
Oh.. I accidentally TP’d right into the PVP3 zone, and I’ve also TP’d into packs of Atrox, Hogglos and other creatures that killed me even before I got to see them. So use with caution! 
I had a tp chip, but i found that using it is waste of money.
You will always sucseed using lesser TP chip ( even if you are newby in all MF ranks). Much better is to run thouse 800 m and kill mobs on your way, becasue you cant never know where is the HoF or ATH :wise: .
But if you are miner, then TP chip is essencial for you, get’s you away from city’s fast and over the Mob high consetration points.
Ps! beware to not TP in places where you know might have high cosentr. of mobs, you will die before you know it :wise:
Buy the chip and keep it for life.. It’s the most efficient one in game
never sell it when you get it, even if you more skilled.. its the most efficeint chip for M.E. use .

Having followed the path of a jedi… ok a MindForce junky :laugh: I found that the Lesser tp is an essential piece of kit to save you time and hassle.
I recently bought a Good TP chip which has a MASSIVE range, but the downside is that it will use up over 100 ME (thats about 3ped at current rates). So having a smaller tp chip is essential also. I stuck with the Lesser for a while but had been searching for the minor tp chip. The minor is a rare chip!! Was waiting for weeks to pop up into auction.
Now I can make significant minor hops for reasonable ME. But I would say as a n00bie, or at least new to ME, stick with the Lesser for as long as u can.
If only I was skilled enough for my Good TP chip, I could have tp’d to all the TP points instead of spending ours running to them!! DOH.
The problem with the higher level teleport chips is they are less accurate, in addition to using more mind essence to go the same distance. Not to mention being very expensive to buy in the first place. It is always more efficient to make several jumps with a lesser tp chip rather than using a higher level one. The only exception is where you need to get somewhere very quickly or when there are a lot of hostile mobs in the way that you need to ‘jump over’.

If you have never used any MF at all save for sweating, it would be a good idea to get or borrow a focus chip and pump about 1000-2000 ME through it to skill up your psychotrophy and concentration a little bit.
While you would be able to use a lesser TP chip right away it wont be very accurate until you skill a bit with the focus chip first.
after you have skilled focus for a couple of thousand times you should be able to get within a few meters of your chosen destination with your lesser chip.
Its also a great way to show off to the newbies at cp or PA, just make it so you arrive right next to the normal teleport.
Once you have your TP chip and have skilled enough to use it accurately then its time to get the teleports on amethera if you have yet to get them.
The TP chip will come in very handy if you want to do any exploration of the amethera continent.
If you still can sweat you should keep sweating til you cap and save all your sweat so you can make ME to skill and to use for the tp chip. as it will be the cheapest ME you can get.

Some good info here. Have to say that Mind Force powers have always intregued me. A while back I had a look at getting a concentration or heal chip but on checking the stats I couldn’t see any benefit to heal as compared to a fap (faps are cheaper) and the only benefit to concentration would be to help me sweating which I hardly do anyhow and I think, given the cost would, end up spending more on concentration than I would gain on sweat.
The TP chip is something I imagine I might use sometimes though although I would love to be able to say to someone “I can kill you using just the power of MY MIIIIIIIND!!!”
MindForce does dissapoint me a little as when u consider the costs of ME and producing ME and the cost of wear on the chips and implants etc etc, and then they turn out to be not that affective for the quantity of ME being used!
In my opinion it needs tweaking so that all chips are exceptional on decay, and deal out more damage! the only tp chip that really is worth its weight is the focus chip as it decays slowly and only uses 1 ME no matter what level, and when your at a greater level chip 1 me gets you loads more focus than the lower levels.
the weapon chips are nothing like this model.
I’m happy using my Minor tp as good break even against ME cost and distance covered. The Good chip will be utilised when I have the skill but only when needed to get to the rig or places on Ameth that are extremely remote!

Yeah it was last night that inspired me to invest more, having to run out to the Troxes and Longu’s agian and again, got booring :-(.
Well I got one now, from a shop, probably ripped off but at 117 fully charged, hey you get what you get

Well right now I have lessor, minnor and med.. looking to buy mod and good.
But even at my lvl trying to get the point accross that lessor is so good that I will never sell it
I have been using a lesser TP chip since about the time they came out. It is great to have and a real time saver if you are a hunter/miner like myself sometimes you can find yourself really overweight way out not near a storage and TP chip helps immensely. I recently got a minor TP chip (been looking forever for one) and I must say I like it alot I am not highly skilled in MF but it is very accurate. I use the lesser and minor both pretty much everytime I go out on hunt/mining trip. Unless prices have really shot up Lesser TP chips have become very reasonable. I would recommend getting a lesser chip until you get some skills then look to upgrade but I would always keep the lesser since it uses less ME and works great when you want to just do a small jump. but Ill say it again, I bought one two days ago and its great 
helps getting to the rig and tp hunting on amethra, cost me tt+17 which i was happy to pay i think about 77 in total seeing as I kept getting outbid by someone trying to out bid all the tps chips, and after loosing out on 6 auctions I made the purchase>
Highly reccomended, the lesser wont go so far but, it helps getting over those lines of mobs at the rig
and getting to friends that are stuck
