SWaN ???

Hello again. Well, Our idea to start a small society didn’t exactly work out as planned and I guess, I should have expected it not to because, a society leader should be high enough in levels to help other members out and well, lets face it, a noob isn’t high enough to help out some of the higher players. Sooooooo, The Battery Operated Brotherhood is no more.
Anyways, I have been offered a spot in several societies since then and decieded to check them out, meet a few members, adnsee what they are all about. A couple were marked of my list right off the bat, because they tried to either bribe me with a higher rank, tried to bribe me and everyone else with a weapon, or because they had a few buttholes on thier team. So far, three stand out to my attention as good and the one I am liking the most out of them is SWaN.
Yeah, my mentor’s society.
What I am writting here for is to ask your gaming experances with SWaN…
Are they good people, do they play far, do they help out, ect… ect…
Personally, I think they are a great society. I have met thier number one in command and thier number two (my mentor) and maybe I am just biased, because I think my mentor is sexy in RL, but I like them and think they are extrememly nice and helpful…
Would you guys help me out here and tell me what you think?

Well, I just wanted to say that after talkiing to alot of you in game that, I decieded to join up with SWaN and I don’t regret it. It’s a very helpful society that isn’t about just giving someone a rank just to have one. LOL. I had to work extremely hard to get my 4th Circle and by that I mean, pulling numerous 14 hour game days and getting dead alot, but 5 globals and a silent HoF later, I graduated and made some loot for my clothing collection…

Special Thanks to Phil “Debaser” Dalesman (1st Circle SWaN) for pushing me so hard to succeed and for point out all the good hunting spots

No. Not really a new society, a bunch of the uppers in it have been together for a couple years now i gather, but they all just tend to stay pretty low profile on the whole society recruiting thing… I guess thats a good thing… IDK

The post raises some good points about socs - what exactly do you want from a society?

In this case, a good bunch of people, and I’m glad for you you found one. In other cases, it’s about rank, info, status, …

Find a soc that satisfies your needs. What do you expect from a soc, what can you contribute?
Societies add a whole new level to your PE experience in terms of friendship, knowledge, status and purpose.
One of the best features of the game, so use this opportunity, and find the soc that is right for you.
The community makes PE special, and your soc can have a miassive impact on how much you get out of the game. Enjoy!

Ok. I figured out why alot of you have never heard of “SWaN” before, and figured out why no-one has ever posted anything about them.

You see, “SWaN” is a very small society. I am actually the last one recruited and I am only thier 14th member.

Is it because they are new, no.
Is it because they are garbage, no.
Is it because they are an inactive society, no.

Pretty much, the reason is, they are players not forum hangers.
I have met almost all of the thirteen other members in-game and talked to a few outside of game and pretty much, “SWaN” isn’t about the talk. We talk to each other on the society channel all the time and help each other out, but the reason you don’t see very many of them hanging out in towns or whatever is because, they are either hunting or mining and well, you dont see very many people when you are out doing your thing.
Trust me. I have spent many all nighters hunting with them and only seen someone else when being revived after getting a hole stomped in my butt by something or when running to a TP to hunt somwhere else. They come on they play and then they log off.

LOL… I hang out a little bit, chat with some “Noobs”, play around, and explore, but that’s because, it’s the holidays here and I’m trapped at school with nothing else to do, except post threads.

Honestly though, I don’t know what to tell you. I mean, I am still rather new with this game and all, so I don’t know what other societies do. All I know is, ours is pretty close and fun to hang out with. We do team hunting, auction shopping, combat training in the “Octagon”, (Which really isn’t fun when your the one getting dead all the time, but makes you smile to see all those green skill messages pop up.)

Well, I have been given recruiting powers… If your intrested in a society let us know… We’re looking for new blood. Not really recruiting just anyone, but if you wiped my mentor, I guess you’re not just anyone…LOL…

Amelia: Neri I want you to kill them
Neri: Why? they haven’t done anything
Amelia: So what…I want you to kill them
continues going back and forth as to why I should kill them
Amelia: So if someone shoots me, you wouldn’t let me die would you?
Neri: No, I wouldn’t.
Amelia runs up to freyr and shoots him
Freyr begins pounding Amelia with ML45 (or something like that)
Nerishimo runs up and kills Freyr and Phill when he begins shooting

lol I probably couldn’t do it again…I sold a lot of items and skills and I’ve been inactive for a long time while and I’m sure both of them have been skilling up… but yea since I’m socless, I’ll look into that

See my post about “Noobs” in space to find out what I think of this society now or just send me a PM. All I will say here is that the actions of a certain individual has caused me to change my views about this society.

No. Not all it’s members, because there are still a few members of SWaN, that are, really cool people who I like and respect, but the actions of one reflect apon the whole of a society.

So, I no longer feel that this is a positive society nor will I encourage any applicants for them.
