Hmmm- never was one for blogging, but what the heck…
Last night, after finishing up my dinner, cleaning the dishes and getting a quick workout in at the gym, I logged onto game and found lovely Svetka standing in her apartment. As usual at that time (about 6 am GMT) there are few ppl around. I quickly clicked on my fl button to see if there was any1 out of the ordinary logged on this late… but of course there was not 
Deciding that standing around in my apartment was not the least bit of fun, I tromped out of tower C in Genesis Star and made a bee-line for the tp… no pk’ers around 
One of the advantages of playing at a time when most ppl are either asleep or at work. I tp’d to Ithaca, my old stomping ground. Noticed about 5 ppl that all said hello to me at once, and in three different languages.. ROFL gotta love that. Perused the auction to see if I won a bid on a plant… high bidder after 12 hours still with another 12 to go.
Was thinking of going on a whipping excursion, as its been a few weeks since the last time I did… and I still need to get that whip skill up to gain taming :banghead: Noticed Avery in Ithaca, who was also standing around not doing much (oops! Sry Ave! Don’t want to get you in trouble) We went back to check out our respective apartments for something free and fun to do.
Didn’t feel much like going out for a hunt after a long chat at midnight, so another quiet evening in PE for me chatting with friends and absorbing auctions…
Perhaps today I’ll go out for that hunt.

Logged into game on a mission today and did the unthinkable… did not even check my fl! :eek: :laugh:
Quickly tp’d out of Genesis Star to Ithaca and just ran. Threw my rascal on, equipped myself with my Cobra ME and was all set to go and get myself some faucervix. :whip:
Reached the exars and gen 01’s and took out a few of those on my way east… nothing great in loots so it did not stop me from my fauc mission. Finally reached the hills and found a bounty of red dots all waiting to receive a thorough whipping from Svetka i assumed that many of them were birds (as is usually the case out there), but to my consternation and elation they were nothing less than my faucervix, awaiting my hand of death with their beedy little red eyes :evilking:
There were a couple of green dots running past me, inevitably on the lookout for that golden trox cash-cow pay-out from the latest EBN report. I said “Ello” as I always do and kept taking out one little fauc after the next. Loots weren’t great, but not horrible… so I kept going hoping to find some more good spawns around and gain some more whip skills…
Looked up at the beautiful blue sky, the gently parting clouds above Sveta, the green, lush grass with dew I could almost smell…
Then WHAM! the phone rang and I am awakened to the fact that the Seattle sky out my window is dark and grey and life beckons… as always :rolleyes:
No writing for me today on the forums or playing PE… day of mourning for me, a lapsed Catholic.

Well today was THE day in PE… 25k loot :eek: I logged into the forum and immediately saw Skam post it… which I of course immediately replied “OMG OMFG!” and then ran into game to get the low-down.
To my content, the loot was found by SWAT, a good guy imo who has taken the liberty of whipping Svetka on more than one ocassion for good measure every time I cannot annuniciate properly my words to him in Russian :laugh: Of course we all tried to track SWAT down, but very few could. Ran into HunterZ ( who knows SWAT) and inquired about this so-called dagger that SWAT found. HunterZ (and SWAT) was gracious enough to post that pic here first! 
Very cool… and then of course most of the next couple of hours revolved around discussion on forum.
It ocurred to me that this game we play is remarkably like real life, even moreso than I previously believed. Sure we all want to find that golden jewel of a loot for ourselves, but in the end we (well, most of us) are happy for the person that found it. It’s like when I open up the local paper only to find out that some chap somewhere nearby me bought the right lottery ticket at the right location and won 50 million… it’s just a feeling of joy for me, to be honest. A moment when I think “Wow! Nice!”. THat’s the first thought, as it should be
You know what I like about the net? I like the fact that I can meet any1, practically anywhere. I like the fact that I can communicate with ppl thousands of miles away. I like hearing other ppl’s perspectives. I like hearing other ppl’s stories. This is nothing new to most of us here.
In short, PE is just a microcosm of the vast internet. Hence, I love PE Bringing different ppl together, from different ideologies, backgrounds, parts of the globe. In game, I’ve always been a chatter. That’s what I do. So f-u to all the ppl that think I need to be hunting 24/7 to be worth a damn in this little online world. That isn’t at all what has kept me in this game for 2 yrs. :laugh: If skills were all I liked about PE, I would have left at least a year ago. If hunting were the end-all, be-all, forget it… c u all later… I could find better things to spend my money on.
But meeting ppl, some of whom i have met irl! Good ppl! Real ppl! Ppl that are as different from me as it can get. Yet I need to hear what they have to say. I want to know more about them. At times ppl take a step back if I start chatting them in game, asking them where they are from, what they do irl, etc. etc. Some ppl play for gaming purposes alone. I used to think I was in a minority… that most ppl play this game for the sole intention of skilling, purchasing and hoping for some more ped, and skilling, purchasing and hoping for some more ped… keeping up with the Jones’ so to speak. But now I meet other ppl just like me in game Ppl who enjoy a good hunt, but enjoy even more a good conversation.
Odd how a computer can offer such good company :laugh:
So- I’m rambling for no reason. Just posting it to post it. Just b/c it is what i feel. It’s what i like. i love nothing more than reading great threads here by ppl that have something to say. I loved Leafren’s journal entry today! great post… good enough to get me to pm him my thoughts. that just does not happen irl enough. You just don’t go around telling ppl what you think of this or that, or where you are from or what you believe… and if you do, you can’t expect many ppl to listen :laugh: But here, anything goes. it’s great.
so thx all. i still love this game. it’s become something of a lifestyle

Just logged in today to find the high hof at 9k! Wow. Should get my arse out there and start hunting on weekends I suppose
OK- finally did some hunting last night with the whip as I’ve been meaning to do for two weeks now. Went for fauc, cornundos, bibo, etc… awful loot. To be honest, it was the worst I’ve seen in a long time (no, I don’t care for bitching about loot so I won’t discuss it in detail :laugh: ). Needless to say, I spent an hour or so and then quit.
Life is busy. About ready to go down to sunny southern California for a much needed vacation (although only for four days) next week I’ll be a happy girl again when I get my tan back.
Been going back to the university lately for no reason at all… just dropping in on a graduate course offered by my favorite prof. 3 phd students, 1 MA student and moi I don’t get credit as I’m not a student atm, but I don’t have to pay for it either… so I get to reap the rewards of excellent discussions on the Baltic, read fantastic books and historical analysis and expand my mind again…
Nothing more to say. ta-ta for now

Went on my first hunt in over a week. Just skilling with the whip around PA. Nice spawns, not too many ppl either Loots were less than desirable, but in the end I gained some skills and am satisfied enough with that.
Chatted, as always, on Genesis Star with whoever happened to be around. Was happy to catch up with an old friend via messaging who I have not spoken to in months Had the usual chatter with my wonderful soc advisor Kitty (aka Zarathustra) b4 going to my apartment to pay up my rental dues…
Nothing more in game to speak of.
Had a busy rl day… my husband decided today was a good day to check out some motorcycles at the shop for me After years of saying I want a bike, my fingers are crossed that this time I will actually get one. Of course, I need to take a drivers ed course first and get licensed. But have no fear, I will post here once it all comes to fruition

Went out for a hunt last night… that’s right, just following vu… something I never do. I have sworn off hunting for several days after vu’s due to lag and poor loots. Well for whatever reason I decided what the heck, I’m going out last night like it or not.
Went to my old area around Ithaca. Was happy to find that most of the old mobs were still in place… spawning was a bit odd, but for the most part not too bad there. First dozen exars and bibos I whipped to death I earned 8 ped 
So I’m thinking, niiiiiice. Just keep going Svet, keep going… there’s bound to be a good mini in here, if not global.
Phone rings… gah! Who could it be at 10 pm at night 
DD is out of the house with his band for the evening. I’m not expecting a call… yet there it was. My freaking phone kept ringing, and I kept thinking “just let it ring Svet and keep hunting”…
But, of course, I’m anal and I can’t stand a ringing phone so I answer it.
Ironically, it was a couple that live far away from us irl that we met in game a few yrs back They no longer play PE but we still keep in touch. Funny thing is that they really aren’t keen on PE… they hop around to various mmorpg’s and they can tell you exactly why they can’t stand PE and why they love the other games…
Yet… we still talk to them. They don’t do that with any1 from any other game they’ve ever played. So does that prove my theory that PE is just the most spectacular community around? I don’t know… but perhaps
btw- yes, i’m still wondering how that hunt would have gone if I had not answered the phone :laugh:

wow- so, we FINALLY did it… we (DD and I) officially entered into the 21st century…
We got cellulars! :laugh: After all of these yrs of criticizing cell ppl behind their backs, we caved in and got a couple of really nice new lcd screen cell phones :laugh:
And contrary to what I thought I might do with a cell (you know, use it only for emergency purposes, never talk in public with it, etc etc)… it is damned addicting! In just two days I find myself fiddling with it constantly, changing the fonts, colours, pictures, ring tones, etc.etc… SO SAD!
Ah well- hopefully the novelty of it will wear off soon

LOL. well, if you read Skam’s post, you’ll see where this one is coming from But indeed, all women have penis envy… that’s it. the answer to everything. no woman can do so many things at once without wanting to desperately be a man. no woman can be who she claims to be. no woman can be worthwhile, attractive (at least to some ppl), intelligent, educated, and driven. it just doesn’t happen… if that woman plays an mmorpg :eek: nope… the good ol’ boys will never believe it :laugh:

Been hunting more lately… just have had the urge to do it again (which comes and goes with me).
Went for a long hunt last night… to my favorite spot filled with bibos and cornundos and exars and fauc… perfect for whipping and using knuckles.
Looted a generic right away Finally, after months and months without looting one Funny thing… I was just mentioning that it had been forever and a day since I looted one, and voila! presto!.. hmmm, MA has a secret kgb listening in on conversations perhaps??
