If something is not officially “endorsed” does it make it outright illegal? …i mean, there’s nothing in the EULA about trading PED between players.
And really, it’s not in MindArk’s interest to stop people from cashing in through these sites. So i see no reason for them to step in.
The sweat market is pretty much dead, and these sites are one of the few ways non-depositors can still get funds to play.
The more people play this game and spend PED, the higher the odds that You will get a Global/HoF …so maybe you could be a big boy and put up with a bit of chat spam from noobs. Or just turn off general/trade chats if it bothers you so.
A disciple of mine tried it and said that “it works but sweating is faster and more reliable”, not to mention that it gives defense skills, so they don’t really bring in any revolution or threaten the system, which is why MA probably doesn’t care much. Although the spamming is annoying indeed, sometimes Icarus local chat consists solely of the same shit from 3-4 different people.
Are you aware that “Not endorsed” does not mean illegal? It only means that MA does not accept any liability for the contents of such a website, nor is involved in it in any way.
So I cannot comply to your request, and instead tell you that it is, indeed, legal to have a website which is all about EU.
Sure, but since they provide an external service of a kind, not sure how it comply with
No peripheral services or goods. The Participant may not provide any peripheral services or goods related to the Entropia Universe System. MindArk reserves the right to revoke this limitation either generally or in specific cases.
So a group of people have gotten together and decided to support a group that pays people PED to take a bunch of surveys.
Who cares?
I mean, the PED comes from someone depositing into the system. It’s then distributed amongst the low level population who likely will spend ALL of it, thus contributing to the overall loot pool.
Really, what’s to be so uptight about? No, dont answer that. I already know. You dont like it, so you want to make sure it goes away and nobody gets to enjoy it. But your answer will try to make this action sound somehow heroic when its just petty.
If you dont like their service, leave them alone and dont refer others to it. Pretty simple.
From what I know Entropia Partners society has that website…You should speak with the leader Tia…after all are Eu Partners …(hint they dev a new planet)
Only one thought from here -
As you are getting peds with unknown records, these peds might have been obtained via credit card fraud and your account will be locked. So unless you want to risk your whole avatar for few peds stay away.
Nice rule, but… that doesn’t make the site illegal per say. You see, the EULA isn’t legally binding. I could tell my mother to begin a business where she sells EU information for US$. As long as she isn’t playing the game, she also never accepted the EULA.
whole point of that site is that you get paid a few pec or whatever for watchin a video or doin some online mini jobs, nothin illegal about it PTC sites have been around for ages doing the same thing some of them pay better than the site in question and some people make a bucks off em (although i think this is the first one that pays in ped). No harm in lettin the non depositors use the site to get some extra income
I haven’t seen too much spamming from people blasting there referral id. Which btw the referral system has got to be a joke seeing what they pay for a referee. There are much easier ways to earn money online.
I do see a problem with it existing only because MA is teamed up with Sometrics, which offers a similar platform. This site could be viewed as competition. Although, I think Sometrics has it beat.
