um, could somebody explain this whole irc thing to me? ive been there, tried to use it, couldnt even figure out what it WAS let alone how to USE it…
sorry, its the first time ive ever even HEARD of an irc… like i said im new to all this forum stuff…

IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat, it is basically a large chat network, with multiple servers, which then have multiple channels for various topics.
like for example, the Stratics IRC server has multiple channels, one for each game that they decide to add a room about, as well as various channels for Ops (Operators) or private channels for users to talk to each other
think of yahoo chat with unlimited capabilities, such as file sharing, scripts to perform various tasks, and much more

you can use stratics irc for Project entropia or Faustian’s new pechat (ya, pick that one )
the easiest way for you to connect would be just to click on that IRC#PE on the top of this forum 
it will log you onto irc and pechat automatically. then you can learn all the rest once you’re there… but basically you just type in whatever, hit enter… and you’re chatting live hehe

yeah lol thats the one i was trying… irc#pe?? typing it in does nothing… and i dont SEE anything resembling that…

Ah, me thinks you’re trying too hard and overlooking the obvious I’ve done that a thousand times b4 with many things, so I empathize
OK- at this very moment, look at the top of your EF screen… directly underneath the “Log-Out” link there is a link that says “IRC:#PE” with a drop-down box. Click it and bring up the drop-down… I you can either open chat or open chat in new window (I usually do the latter so I can still browse the forum while on irc)… if you use internet explorer it will ask you if you wish to run the program… run it Then voila! you are logged onto pechat on irc… and entire chat room dedicated to pe…

for basic users i realy realy recomend downloading Mozzilla web Browser and useing there chat program included in the package i think all you’ll have to do then is click or paste this link in mozzilla
