What’s up with this -60k ammo to get one HG skill point - not rank - 1 single stinking point to get to proficient. I used an EP-40 amped against Allos, Estos, Trox, Snargs, and whatever else got in the way. I suffered the no loot loses to get that point but 60k give me a break.

I dont know if their is any total truth in this but i seem to have found that at the start of any rank the skill gains are fast then when you get to about grade 4 \ 5 they slow down again just my exsperiance over two ranks in LWT revently
Maybe you need to upgrade you gun for faster skilling.
I don’t have proof to support this im afraid, but do remember that PE stated something about using underpowered guns would make skills slower ??
Under powered for you current level is what im thinking…
As for the mod 117 im using I seem to be getting decent skills from it..

I’m gaining about 10-20 HG for every 60K trip with MM.
getting about 2-3 skills hg on each 100 ped ammo with 2930ME…
At professional.
Edit: just checked. Now I get 200 skills (acctually 196!) froma full hg chip. (btw I dont chip , just a notification

i get about 1 point of riffle pr 20000 ammo using camo desert but i can feel im in a slow just now
let me guess your trying to pass 3k skill barrier ? if so then yes u definetly need better handgun
