I have a Firebird, and bought a couple versions of these new mounted lasers.
Also tried on a sleipnir and quad, they won’t attach.
What am I missing? and are attached lasers in the same auction category? I see none.

I guess you are trying to attach an M laser, or gunner laser, which you cant. You equip those like a gun from the gunner seat. A lasers you can attach to the ship.
Sindri and Chamrosh are also gunner lasers which you cant attach.
On a quad alone and firing from passenger seat you end up saving lots of fuel by using the M type. (yeah you use it like a normal gun)
The crosshair is a bit junky and sometimes it even disappears and also lower DPS but the fuel economy worth it on my view. With todays VU both TT mining laser last longer too, which is great.
So basically when MA provided the table shown in op they should have included three columns i.e. Attached Mining Laser, Mounted Mining Laser, Equipped mining laser/gunner seat.
