Why are they trying to push a visual c redist on an update again? As if its a fresh install? I already have them and there hasn’t been any visual updates!!! Its like the loader just isn’t prepared to deal with the install answer.. its alrdy there!! =p
I found very quick workaround!
delete everything on entropia/redist folder and then it started to update for me :wtg:

OK guys this worked.. I deleted the redist folder entirely and ran client loader.. problem solved yay!

Hmmm…nothing works for me…reinstalled and also delete redist file in 2 PC and nothing…same problem…any other?:scratch2:
reinstall will not work, uninstall then install should work
I deleted redist folder, and didn`t work.
I restored the folder, then deleted only the content of redist folder, and it worked.
Deleting redist folder didn’t help in my case.
P.S. Same with deleting content only.

Find this folder → C:\Program Files (x86)\Entropia Universe\redist
Delete the contents only (not the folder) - I had 4 files in there
Update again → installation successful!!

Had the stuck at 95% too, but I didn’t wait for the error to pop up and just closed the launcher (X).
After that, went into the windows task manager, end tasked the entropia universe updater and relaunched the launcher.
It then proceeded as per normal and everything went smoothly.
Win10, 64-bit
Alright guys here’s what I’ve done so far
- Uninstalled the game
- Re-downloaded the launcher
- Launched
Got the same good old 95% error on a fresh client (!!!)
- Control panel → Programs and Features
- Manually uninstalled visual c redistributable 2015-2019 x86
5.5 Uninstalled visual c redistributable 2017 (which was x64 probably) - Manually launched installing both visual c x86 and x64 redistrubutables from “redist” folder
- x86 started to install almost immediately
- x64 started to install after a considerable amount of time
I think this is where launcher fails an update as it treats x64 installation thread as hanging, terminates it and displays an update error
- Went past 95% (!!!)
- Now re-downloading planet data all over again

i got someone to chat with me in support and got it working finally with his help
got stuck at 95% as well reinstalled the game, win 10 64bit
i got the bug, i rethried, it worked
