I was sitting eating a nice fresh fruit salad the other day, when a thought wandered near to the general vicinity of my brain cell…
Seedless grapes.
Now, by their very nature, the very first bush of these - would it not also be the last? Seedless = no way of creating more
Or :wise: are they actually seeded grapes that some small Phillipino boy is being paid 1 ped a month to remove the seeds from with a cocktail stick? :dunno:
I’m not taking the piss here - I’m actually wondering, so if you’re bored at work, or ran out of PEDs in an evening, you should research into it…
All plants – including grapes – grow from seeds. But some people prefer to munch on sweet, juicy grapes without biting on seeds too. So, grape breeders (those are people who develop different kinds of grapes) use their plant smarts to grow the seedless varieties.
Grape breeders create new seedless plants by placing the pollen of a seedless grape onto the flowers of a grape variety that has seeds. They then cut open and inspect the fruit of every single plant that grows from this match. The breeders are looking for seeds – some plants will have seeds in their fruit and others won’t.
When they find a plant that has no seeds, or maybe just has very tiny traces of seeds that you wouldn’t be able to taste, the grape breeders use it to make more seedless plants. One way is to cut off small pieces of the seedless plant’s vine and place it in special growing conditions in a greenhouse. Eventually, the pieces of vine will grow roots and become new, individual plants. This technique is called propagation.
Or, the breeders can graft, or attach, a piece of the seedless grape variety onto a healthy vine base, called a rootstock. Think of it like this: When someone cuts their hand, a doctor sews the cut together, and the two pieces heal as one. The grafted vines grow together the same way. And, the grape variety attached to the rootstock keeps producing delicious seedless grapes.
Hmm.. a good topic for discussion me thinks :wise:
I think that they are nano-seeds.. a technology used to keep everyone happy.
Nano-Seeds can be programmed to either leave the grape when it reaches maturity and jump into the soil and start growing more seedless grapes .. OR they simply jump into the nearest bin.

why aren’t they programmed to stay in. nano-seeds are known to be so small that you can hardly seem, even with 1.000.000x zoom function built into your head. After the grapes have been eaten it can penetrates the neural network of its host and give electric pulses to take over the body of its host.
if they are considered a weapon of a player and not an organism on its own it should consider non-pvp areas or they might be another forbidden whatevertheyare..

FRUIT SALAD? Are you a closet-pooftah? REAL men don’t eat fruit unless it’s off the tummy of a woman.
As for grapes being seedless? Just a way to prove it’s better to swallow than to spit. And I don’t mean African swallows either.

“Is that an African or a European swallow? Wha’, wha’ I don’t know that. AHHHHHHHHH! Hmph! How do you know so much about swallows? Hmm.. you have to know they sort of things if you’re a king!”
Hmm… I believe those seedless grapes are in fact, not grapes as we know them, but a kind of insect which is bred by alien body-stealing invaders…
They resemble common grapes totally except the fact that they haven’t got any hard organs, they’re all squishy and soft and when they’re fresh they give a light crack when biting onto the chitin :dunce:
They’re actually called “Blorgbits” and their bodily substances are causing stimulating reaction in a humans brain which makes it easier for the evil invaders to control our minds…
I thought seedless grapes were like Stawberries(also seedless).
They just spread by extending roots which then grow into a seperate plant. And from there people can just take that extra plant and move it providing a seedless plant somewhere else.
But it might be the aliens inside me talking
