Scorpions attending: Asti, Jet and Oracle
A completely new type of Sunday Society Team Hunt! The above went on a dangerous mining expedition into pvp3. Asti and Jet took turns at mining with Oracle acting as bodyguard.
The mining rewards weren’t great: probably due to Asti and Jet’s low skills. But there was some interesting encounters 
As we entered pvp3 from Echidna we immediately came under fire from 3 other guys shooting plasma at us from range. After a brief exchange of fire from distance, me sniping with my trusty old ML35 + Dante, we decided to withdraw and edge around to the South West and find another point of entry.
We then had to kill our way through a crowd of flying lizards before eventually coming to a quiet area where Asti and Jet could begin their mining.
I ctd’d and when I came back I fired my gun by mistake. Unfortunately this was the pre-arranged ‘enemy spotted’ signal and Jet hit the ‘T’ key 
Shortly afterwards Asti and I spotted someone called Raptor so Asti also teleported to safety. When trying to meet up with Jet who was working his way back by then I bumped into a Warlock Generation 7 who killed me in one blow with 200 damage
So we all ended up at an outpost far south. After a brief discussion we decided to head back into pvp for one last try. We headed deep into the central parts of the pvp3 area and saw some mobs we hadn’t seen before, Hispidus or something.
Then as we headed North to Echidna a party of 2 or 3 came running towards us. Asti and Jet tp’d to safety whilst I engaged them.
As I am the worst pk’er on Calyspo I was sure I was bravely running to my death, and would lose the 80 Mind Essence I was carrying. I took a few plasma hits and fired my ML35 a few times without much success I think.
Then I was left one-to-one with a guy who I later found out was called ‘Eric’. I blasted away with my AS147 + Dante ignoring my wounds. Reassuringly I noticed his hp going down nicely and when I saw him reach for his fap and that it wasn’t a Mod one I knew I had him.
When he fell and a loot box popped up with just over 3 peds I felt real good My first action on duty as a bodyguard and I had done OK
But the fun wasn’t quite over just yet. Running north back to Echidna I again met Eric. He was running towards me firing away and me towards him firing away. Eventually we met face to face: I was pumping bullets into him and he was taking no damage. I thought, ‘uh oh, he’s got some kind of super armour or an anti-damage cheat code’. But it was just a bugged area
Eric turned out to be a nice guy, we had a chat and he had a nice set of weapons and some Nem armour. Maybe my 6A plates saved me? Or even the dodge chip I bought could have helped, not sure though?
But all in all quite a fun Society hunt, for me especially I bet Nox wishes he could have joined us on this don’t you?
