Damn Dan spent alot on scanning heheh

Btw what is the Sense of Scanning ? Why should i skill that. It seems really Expensive tough. Its maybe nice to know the Stats of Your Enemy in PvP but who have the Time for Scanning ?

Someone enlighten me whats the Sense of Scanning please and why i should put up such an Ammount of Peds on it.

scanning different things give you some skills that you have use for in crafting and hunting and so on, but mostly it’s just to increase total skills. the actual scanning skills, scan human, animal and so on have no function atm

scan animal gives Zoology which is used for taiming

yea, and scanning people gives anatomy, robots give engineering (I think), all scanning gives intelligence. there are more useful ways of skilling up those skills though so unless you want your soc high on the most skilled list it’s not really worth it atm.

Scanning robots do not give engineering. (Scanning robots gives following: Intelligence, Perception, Analysis, Computer, Electronics, Mechanics, Robotology, Scientist, Probing, Scan robot)
Many of the skills gained from scanning are very usefull and it is both fast and cheap way to raise skills in. F.ex scientist skill that is used in both medic and taming.

Nice overview… but how much does it cost when you include the medical bill? Clicking 1 million times for ~500 hrs straight must have some consequences :silly2:

strokes ES400 scanner

Every skill has been clicked by me personally.

Thanks, though credit must go to The Beast, who uploaded it  (i think?)

Scanning is good especially if you are a crafter and/or miner.

skilling for scientist though would take some serious time…comes between lvl 8k and 9k?

scanning is especially handy this past couple VU’s …give ya something to do when the monster runs away, ya certianly dont wanna waste any ammo on it. :wise:
