Hey guys/babes. I have decided to post a topic here about scamming/theft. The goal of this is so that you can protect yourself, not test it out urself!
Unfortunately the most guys that gets scammed are n00bs, becasue they dont know the game to well, especially prices! Here we go:
Market Prices:
If you want to sell something. always make sure you know what the market price is. Guys will try to buy stuff from you that are way under the market price, they will say something like “the market for this item is currently screwed” or “i am not trying to scam you, this price is still pretty high and you will not find higher”.
Broken Calculator
This is one of the oldest tricks in the book. The buyers makes a “calculation mistake” and blames it on the calculator. ALWAYS calculate the correct price and tell him how much it is, that way he cannot use this excuse!
Clear All in Trading
Be carefull of this. The seller will put the stuff he wants to sell in his window and after you put your cash in and hit “confirm”, he will clear his offer and hit confirm. He will then ask you to hit confirm again and say there is a bug or something, thats why you cant see his offer anymore. If you look at your “chat window” you will see a notice saying he cleared his offer. In PA this isnt always so easy to see, because of the spam. Also, look at the window above the trade box to check if there is anything in there. If you confirm the offer, he will steal your cash and you will have 0 items.
Double Trading
This has been posted before. Onely sell to one person at a time. This has never happend to me before, so i dont know how it works.
Borrowing
Dont borrow something to players you dont know. Sometimes someone will say they want to “test it out” before they buy it.
Repairing
A guy once came to me and said “give me your broken items and 2 PED and i will repair them for you, i have unlocked the repair skill”. THERE IS NO REPAIR SKILL!

The oldest trick in the book is a scammer who you trust, borrow things from you and never come back. If you ever feel “guilty” for not lending out your stuff to someone, dont be, it most likely is just your gut talking, and the gutfeeling is mostly right. “Friends” who WANT to make you feel guilty for not lending out your stuff most likely are scammers, and if not, not very good friends. Real friends will understand your decition and respect it. Never lend anything out that you cannot afford to loose (to anyone you dont know irl) is a thumb-rule alltho most dont follow it.
If someone who you know asks you for peds to borrow, and you borrow it to him/her and he/she doesnt return it, but ask to borrow more peds for [insert excuse here], dont do it. He/she most likely were just testing you if you were trusting enough to borrow before he/she asks for larger amount of peds.
Dont belive that “a bug cleaned my account =(( and therefore I lost your stuff”. It most likely isnt true, and if it is, clear it with Mindark, Bugs are not your responsibility and therefore you have chances of getting your stuff back.
The biggest factor in this game is trust. People dont see your face here so its easier to rip you off even tho you think your friends. Dont let it be in your way to make friends, most people are great. But look up for warningsignals, and never ever borrow or give anything if you feel uncomfertable with it!
Bevore i started PE i decided never ever lending anyone anything. It sounds hard, it sounds selfish - yes maybe it is! But i played another Game where i got Scammed badly by a so called close Friend i knowed for almost 2 Years. I borrowed me a Rare Set and he asked to try it out too. After i hand it over he Logged off, deleted his Char Laughed about me on a forum and i had to Explain the Owner why i handed out his borrowed rare set. It was the total Super Gau for me! I had to Work, yes work(!)!, because it was not fun at all Hunting almost 18 months for the owner to accumulating enough Ingame Currency to Compensate the Value of the Rare set. After that i quit the Game, my friendship to the owner also broke on this. The Scammer still Plays this Game and is now thanks to the Rare Set pretty über and a Well known Person with very good Reputation and have tons of groupies around who wanna be as cool as he is … So no Happy End (for me)
Im branded and it makes me sad to see it happens everyday someone else.
Never lend to People you dont know IRL and where they live.
Friends who try to make you feel bad for not lening them your stuff ARE NO FRIENDS AT ALL ! True Friends understand it the First Time you explain them and will never ask you again.
