Reputation icons, Green, Red and.. uhmn, grey?

Dear readers.

We all seen the reputation icons when we get reputation points.
There’s the green one: https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/forums/images/reputation/reputation_pos.gif
And we have the red one: https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/forums/images/reputation/reputation_neg.gif
But today I also recieved a third one: https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/forums/images/reputation/reputation_balance.gif
This one is called “balance”. Does anybody know what it does or how/why or when it’s given?

It’s from a new person. The grey indicates their rep is not significant enough yet to make an impact… (usually will be after a few posts).

My guess it’s to prevent bot-repping.

brought up countless times!

well, its like this: green is good, red is bad. you already know that i presume.

now, grey is from an player that doesnt have enough rep and/or posts to give you either green or red!

Well I searched the forums but didnt find any info on it, so excuse my stupidity for posting the question again. Thank you both for your answers though.

hmmm, i dont wanna search. and, the last time it happened was last summer, start of it. so, quite logic you cant find any info. b/c the forum has been flooded with threads since then
