dont interpret this post as a ANti Entropia-Post. I not somebody who invest lots of money in the game and would like now to destroy your fun in this game. Its only that I worry about some aspects and Im interested what would you say about my post.
Im intersted in Project Entropia since yesterday ( yeah of course)and since that I read hundreds of posts and player discriptions of this game, the business model of Mindark and of course the EULA.
Instead the EULA.
Its beginning that in a MMORG every word you say every action , every step is saved on a HDD and so there is a danger for the player being explioted by this firm. SO the company which provide the game could imagine to sell this informations to markting Business man and make lots of money. Money rules the world , today addresses for markting issues a selling for 10 EURO.
But ists getting harder. And the real cause for this post is the EULA of Entropia , I just read it because im iinstlalling the game. In this EULA , Mindark is only a company which provides a virtual world. Mindark is the owner of this world and has the right to terminate ALL accounts or any participant WITHOUT cause. That means if you have luck or worked hard , got lots of money Mindark can terminate your account and you got no rights. This does not correspond with my feeling of right. Im sorry.

Unfortunatly they have to word it that way i think. My guess is because othervise they would have to write hundreds of different cases and reasons for when and when not they will terminate somebody or everybodys accounts. For inctance if one person gets banned for something or if MA goes Bankrupt respectivly.
I thought about this as well the other day when MA didnât want to compensate me for a lost toxic shot after the server went down. Thatâs when I realized that MA could flip the server switch to âoffâ tomorrow and go on a 5 year vacation to Bali if they want.
But what it all comes down to is : The EULA is not fair. Life is not fair. Deal with it.
Theoretically they could just ban us all. People would raise hell over it, but MA could if they wanted to. But why on earth would they do that? The company is going great, and PE is their moneymaker. Wouldnât it be stupid to kill the game and keep the money instead of making a living on it for an unknown amount of years?
The thing is, A company can state alot in their terms and conditions and even if users/customers agree to it, its quite uncertain if European courts would agree to all of it too in the end. :rolleyes:
