I’d like to organize a poetry reading in PE, so I’m asking you to respond if you’d like to participate in such an event, either as author or simply’d be interested.
The language is english of course, of course this creates some limitations (as for myself I’m not native english typer=) - so forgive the mistakes)
This will take place if people show interest, and I’d appeciate suggestions about the place and time. It should be outside cities and it should be quite safe, well, prowided some people agree to provide protection during the event (I’m quite new in the game so I can’t even count on me) - and maybe the gathering should be in an easy accesable place, like atlantis and then all the participants proceed to the actual place of the event.
As for the actual reading each participant prepares and silences the chat (giving enough time for comments of the previous piece) by announcing start .. with a row of **** for example, and reads his work, in the end comes another row of ******* and then others can say their critique (hope I spelled that right =) and comments.
It would be nice to show each other and the rest of us that there are people in the game that care about culture or are simply creative!
So, is there anyone (provided you didn’t get boored reading this post)?
Give a line or meat me in game and spread the word!
[B]It might be nice to have an event like this on a regular basis somewhere, but depending on the number of people participating, you might run into some lag . . . or not. It would be cool to experience some creativity from a few of the PE players other than their strategies for hunting and mining, and add a little cultural aspect to the game.
I think Port Atlantis is far too busy to be a meeting or starting point, so perhaps a place like the piers at Cape Corinth with the background sound of the water would be a nice tranquil space to have the poetry readings . . . just a thought.
