Hello, I am trying to get information on Mining ( then Crafting), as when I was playing SWG thats what I had fun doing. (that and merchanting, which PE dosnt seem to have) My question is I havent been able to find any good info on How it is done, and how you get good. The basics I have seen on many a post.
How do you decide where you mine, or is it compleatly random? How do you get it out? Can you set down automated harvesters? Is there a website I can get all this info to save someone from typeing it out ?
Example from SWG. Survey till you find a good % of resources. Sample a bit to see of the quality, If you like it, plop down a harvester.
To start out you need to just try different areas, anywhere. I’ve got about 3 hrs mining experience so far, found 4 poor oil sites. Try any bit of land on the map, near TP’s, remote locations, anywhere. Its the luck of the draw, but once you find a good site, you can keep going back.
As for the process, you drop a probe, detector screen pops up, if it finds something nearby you just need to follow the arrows on the detector, a claim rod appears. Then you use you TT extractor to pull some out - I found a poor oil that the harvester pulled up 20 units at a time, got about 400 units all together (TT value 4PED). Its quite a simple process as far as I can tell.
I’d alos like to hear from the experts though, 3 hours hardly makes me experienced !
I have just started mining enematter, once you have collect and refined oil then what? Who wants the oil and for what?. I also got growth molecules what do i do with them? appartly I got to get animal poo and mix them so that people use it to grow stuff?? a bit confused as there does not seem to be a profession in growing stuff/food etc.

oil is used for different stuff u can craft..
ex is basic filters the ingredients are oil and lysterium
u can sell it in the auction or on the street like all other or sell to the TT i tend to do that with oil sometimes, theres alot of oil so people dont give any good % on it so why even bother.
growth molycules is used for making fertilizer that people with land then use to make mops on there land..
