I meant the red x’s or the greend check marks that show up next to the requirements on the client loader. System, Memory, DirectX… etc…
Just make sure you have all green checks.

Check you cookie settings in your browsers, although it would seem unlikly that all of them are set incorrectly.
No all the icons are green but I have manged to get it support claims working after playing about with firefox deleted the cookies then it was ok just wished it worked in explorer cookies are allowed aswell they are not or do not appear to be blocked,
I am beggining to believe that I have to try my firewall settings to get PE working anyone know if PE needs certain ports forwarded ??
Thank you carebear for your help it is really appreciated
Should you get a reply, please post the solution here? I have the exact same problem. Downloading didn’t work. Uninstall THEN downloading did. But I still get the same error. Reboot didn’t work. I’m lost…
It turned out it was my Norton firewall… I tried toggling the XP Firewall on and off, and never got results. I totally forgot that HP fellt it was neccessary to also activate Norton Firewall (I hate Symantec with a passion).

Hehe me too… have you ever seen what happens if iexplore.exe (internet explorers exe file) gets infected with a virus and Norton AV tries to clean it?. :duh:

Thankfully I haven’t, but I can guess LOL
My main issue with them is the amount of times I’ve had to reinstall their crap; it would throw some internal error message saying the exe had become corrupt and needed to be reinstalled. So you use the uninstall, but it refuses to clean up everything, causing you to spend an hour plowing through registry keys until it finally accepts the install again.
