I know next to nothing about space combat, as someone experienced, can you explain how it works?
Does vehicle speed matter? Are those that are killed just afk or is there sharp turns and maneuverability involved? Do you primarily use guns attached to ships in the same way thrusters are used or some other kind of weapon? Do you do it alone or need a gunner with you?
Dam it’s 2 bad they don’t cap it at like 500p max so u could get far more people who take the risk and then we don’t get people ragequitting from too big of a loss.. would help with the dragging people to space thing too just put like animal oils, lyst/oil as priority 1 for first to be looted for the 500p so pills don’t get lost too… congrats tho ain’t your fault for the bad game design

This is what can happen when people get “comfortable”. If you gonna be that dumb to bring loot with you and intentional be a cheap-ass to fly through lootable pvp zone in space using unsafe methods.
Yes, you may have done it 100’s of times in the past and never gotten looted. But it only takes ONE time to get looted and something like this happens.
Lesson for the looted party:
Don’t be dumb, don’t be cheap and use a warp service when carrying enough loot you don’t want to risk losing.
I always use warp service when flying in space with loot… So this never happened with me.

The rules are known beforehand. No reason to hate the pirate for participating in an intentional part of the game that can easily be avoided if you don’t like it.

Was this done with warp mine? I’m curious how often those are used. Since this was a starfinder, I would imagine they were in warp travel?

How do you know it wasn’t a warp, might even have been a warp service with more than one person for all we know, since it was in a Starfinder (as i interpret it).

how come ppl react always and disagree when game mechanics are used and some say players are disadvantaged but here when game mechanics are used is all ok ?
Current space PVP is STUPID. I mean, I like the PVP idea, BUT any noob, can do it. (And always with a new avatar, once their reputation in EU is known).
There should be limits to how much skills you need to get into a space vehicle (quad less, interceptor more)
Then there should be different attack attachments based on skills and also maybe some defence based on skills aswell.
The way it is now is terrible.

Fair enough. FWIW I think lootable PvP in a game involving real money is a bonkers design decision on MA’s part. But as long as OP was not cheating in any way, I would say don’t hate the player, hate the game.

Well if they add something like that they should change how ship passanger work and make all players unable to loggout in a Ship, piracy its part of the game we like it or not… (i dont) b
understandable but how is pre adding someone to a guest list, landing on them as they try to loot a creature, which puts them into the quad and instantly launching into space. Luckily ALT + F4 just puts you into space and you have to wait to die. But my god, is it annoying.

Boxer got me with a warp mine about a week or 2 ago..and i was heavily loaded with loot, but i was ready…i dodged and weaved and he still took me down but took a minute in the middle of space=) but i was able to eat 2x medis and he had no chance killing me.. (also if you put the right armor on…it helps alot…cough cough hazen…cough thunderbird..cough

I have no problem with the legit way either. Its why I don’t fly with loot. I lost a handful of pills once, never again.
